The canvas material seems that it will take ... *by X***X on Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2014* I have a trailer that only had PVC pipes on it, the boat would hit them and wouldn't roll very well. I have owned boats and have over 15 years experience with boat and trailer products. I was looking for a heavy duty pads with a thick material that would hold up to the bumps of a 4000+ wakeboard boat. Products that have a name that has been screened on will eventually fade, tear, or peel off. So being plain works better. The canvas material seems that it will take several years of punishment. Very happy with this purchase, I never write amazon reviews so this really must have impressed me. I keep my boat in my garage and I have only had them for one day so I can't say how they will be in the long run, but the quality is there. The color of my boat is black and the white PVC poles kept leaving "trails" on the black that I had to scrape/wash off every-time I went out. I was about to completely remove the guides from the trailer when I saw a boat going down the highway with some of these and decided to give them a try.
