This kept the neighborhood cats alive in the cold dips this winter. I stuffed it around my wood pile, and I have a cover on my wood pile and they would gather inside and be warm from the straw. It was very easy to use. I found no problem with the quality or a moisture level. It is expensive, but I’m the kind of person that just can’t let cats be out in the cold.

This wheat straw works well at covering seeded land, protecting my investment from hungry birds and helping the soil remain moist. Though easy to use, having a second person water quickly before and after placement definitely made things easier in my windy conditions. It seemed like a bit of money at first, but considering all the time and costs to prep, seed/plant, water, fertilize, supplement, etc… I decided it was an important purchase to protect my investments! Only wish I had bought MORE! Ended up expanding the area that I’d planned on covering. Purchased a similar straw with tacky substrate to use on that area. The local straw cost much less. Guess what? The local straw DID much less! The local straw blew off in the night and that ground looked bare. Lesson learned!! The tacky substrate in this worked great! The larger/longer size was effective with both tack and weight helping it stay put despite high winds. This is giving the sprouting process an advantage and a I’m thrilled. Will be using this versatile product more frequently!

Great straw, I am using it for my raised garden bed, its better then the wood garden mulch, Be warned it sinks I had a headache for a bit from it, it content its moisture, but its not worth 21 dollars more like it should be 15 or under the size is very small, it as the size of my 17th laptop just to get a visual of it. I can't say too much about the wind here in FL, I know it will blow away in a hurricane.

Having a feral crew outback has changed how I feel about cats. This straw is perfect to add into their condos keeping them warm & toasty. Having snow fall hasn’t messed the straw up, which was my main reason for getting. There’s a wire wrapped around so be careful to not rip the pkg open and scratch your arm. Easily added this to the shelters & I should mention - no odor. Open, put where it’s needed and that’s it. Super easy to use while keeping dry. This is my 2nd purchase of this product bc it’s quality straw.

I use this in the winter for stray cat shelters in the winter. It’s soft, smells good and keeps the kitties very warm.

Useless- got very little straw. Thought a pound would be more. Basically it’s a gallon size baggie of straw.
