Works good and very comfortable to wear

I was recently diagnosed with “capsulitis” of the joint below the toe next to my big toe. My foot surgeon (from a previous foot surgery) recommended I wear a big boot on that foot for a month to take pressure off that joint. That seemed like “overkill” to me. So I began looking for a way to take pressure off that joint with something smaller. I had used these last year when I broke said to (to cushion and support the toe) and I had a couple left. I put them on my big toe, the affected toe and the third toe. Voila!! Successfully took the pressure off - and I could still wear normal shoes! A huge plus! Can’t wait to show my foot surgeon when I report back in 10-days! Worked perfectly when I had a broken toe and worked perfectly a year later when that injury caused more problems! I ordered more because they do occasionally tear (probably not quite large enough for my big toe, so I will be ordering a large size). These are amazing!! Thanks so much - saved me from wearing a huge clunky boot!!!

These are very comfortable and lift the hammer toe up, taking the weight off of it while they cushion the top of the toe. Because they are soft, made of gel, they do get distorted out of shape due to the pressure from the hammer toe. So you will want to have multiple toe crutches. I have been buying them for 5 years. However, they have gotten quite expensive in the last 5 years. These will NOT correct or cure a hammer toe. Nothing will, other than surgery. However, using these has alleviated the pain and I am able to do all of my normal routines, including dancing, without needing surgery.

I like these. They relieve the pain in my toe. I purchased two of these (medium) in December, 2021.. Each package had only two toe crutches. The text describing them does not match what I received. Chuck

I had surgery for a hammertoe. The podiatrist that did the surgery made the hammertoe much worse. For the past few years, I’ve been practically walking on my toenail. It has been extremely painful at times. I have only worn closed toe shoes because of the way the toe looks. This product has helped me incredibly. While I am sure it won’t actually straighten the toe, it does hold the toe in the correct position. I can actually look down and see my toenail for the first time in many years. Needless to say, my toe is held in the correct position for walking comfortably. You can even wear it with flip flops. My only con is that it is overpriced....way overpriced!

I have a claw toe on the fourth toe (next to little toe) so that is was curling under in such a way that I was walking on the side of the toe. I was desperate to straighten it - very sore. I tried everything and was hesitant to try "one more thing." At first this cushion was noticeable and I didn't think it would work, but in less than an hour, I didn't even know it was there. Very comfortable and best of all, it straightens my toe -- not permanently - but it's straight while the cushion is on so that I can walk comfortably.

As clearly stated by the manufacturer, this product is designed "to support claw or hammer toes, elevating toe tip and relieving distal pressure". It's not going to not straighten your hammer toe! They have other products for this, however I've not had any positive results with them, but my deformity is fairly severe, would say on a scale of 1-10 mine is about a 6, from 1 being hardly present to 10 being severely deformed, next to no mobility and overlapping an adjacent toe. If you're still undecided after reading the reviews, check out my detailed comment of the top critical review. If your hammer toe is severe enough for your to consider this crutch, but yet not so bad that you may need surgery (on my scale that would be 8-10) why not give it a try, they only a bit of $3 each and are fairly durable. I just bought another 4/pk and one usually lasts 1-2 months before the top breaks either accidentally or from me pulling off too hard, but also because I occasionally lose them.

These do straighten my curved toe (the one by my pinky toes) while I am wearing it. I was hoping it would train my toe to stay straightened, but that hasn't happened, at least not yet. I am still using them in hopes that my toe will learn to 'stay straight' on its own. I need to use one each side of the curved toe as my toe seems to really be resisting being straight. I think my need to use two of them is causing my foot to feel crammed in my shoe. I'll post an update hopefully to tell you that things have improved.
