Barry M Cosmetics Under The Sea Nail Paint, Jellyfish

What's not to love about Barry M's Under the Sea nail colours? This polish is vegan, non-toxic and also very affordable compared to other posh brands. The colours are gorgeous. Jellyfish is very pretty iridescent and subtle. One sheer or 2 thin coats works for me, without a basecoat because its not a dark, staining shade, and it lasts for ages with 1-3 clear LED gel topcoats on top. (This is how I do my nails - so much faster). Regular polish can be combined in use with gel polish, AS LONG AS THE REGULAR VARISH IS PERFECTLY DRY BEFORE APPLING THE GEL over it. The gel is very tough and flexible so it doesn't chip or wear and you can build up a nice thick protective nail coat so quickly with a curing light. (1 minute to dry each topcoat)... This method dramatically cuts down the time it needs to get thoroughly cured polish. Another big advantage of using regular-drying polish underneath is that after a week of washing up bathing and washing hair I find the the colour simply falls off in one piece , like a thin fake nail, without having to faff around with filing and soaking the gel polish forever with harsh acetone, or polish remover. I find that nail polish remover really dries my nails out too, but usually I pick it off that and it leaves a rough nail surface... either way, regular nail polish by itself wears badly, but most of all takes hours to dry and properly cure after painting more than 2 coats... base + 2/colour + topcoat, I just don't have the patience and after hours of effort end up wrecking h the manicure. I need to use a polish to help protect my nails so I can play the guitar. I really love these Under the Sea shades because they are so pretty to be worn with just one sheer coat. Other polishes don't seem to last quite as long under the gel.

Pretty effect, does need a few coats to bring out the colour more, or one ok if you just want an understated colour on nails. Not sure will last too many days before chips but would say about comparable for this price range.

It’s the second time I’ve purchased this nail varnish. It’s a perfect colour for summer, goes on well and looks lovely. I get compliments from friend as to tge pretty colour. Two coats is perfect and it doesn’t chip off too fast.

Love the colour but peeled off by next day

I'm really liking the Under the Sea nail polishes so far. I bought the Pink Coral (pictured), Jellyfish and Butterflyfish ones and they are all beautiful! They have different tones in different light, and shine really nicely. I did use about 4-5 coats to achieve the colour pictured, but I actually like the sheerness as I can also use it as a coat on top of other colours. I used the Wet Set top coat as well and the colour lasted a good while. It's a nice consistency as well, not too thick or runny. Will definitely be getting more of this range!

Gorgeous colour, easy to apply, and with a base coat and top coat, it lasted longer than I expected without chipping.

Lo smalto devo ancora provarlo, ma ho notato che il tappo non è lo stesso della foto. Delusa... speriamo che almeno lo smalto, una volta messo sulle unghie duri...

Sympa cet effet changeant du vernis, entre rose nacré et vert d'eau. Comme je ne suis pas une manique de l'application, ce vernis est parfait pour moi! Facile à appliquer et s'il y avait des imperfections- elles ne se voient pas! Top!! PS: j'aime bien cette marque découverte récemment

3 couches sont nécessaires pour masquer les défauts de l'ongle, mais ce vernis s'écaille vite! Dommage...
