Historic fiction = Kristan Hannah. This was such a powerful story and should be read by everyone. You will go through full range of emotions in this book. I did not know anything about Vietnam war but this story taught me a lot about it. This was my second book of her after The Great Alone(1st one). I’ll definitely get more of her books. How can you stay this good, creative and inspiring?

Once you are in the world of Frances McGrath, you want to immerse completely. This book has does. Try not to have a gap while reading. The flow is important. I liked the second half more… but the bo9 is very descriptive so you will never feel rushed, the story takes the correct time to unfold..nothing seems dramatic to me.

Kristian Hannah is my one of the favourite author and I adore her books dearly...it was an emotional read

Beautifully written by Kristin Hannah. The novel gave me an extraordinary experience and kept me engrossed for days. I read it in one go. The story was beautiful and narrative was effectual in portraying the crucial role the nurses played in 'Nam. Liked the part when protagonist's father finally recognised her service and was proud for her. It made me read 'The Four Winds' because I wanted to read more works of Kristin Hannah after this.

Through every turn you live with her.. See her win, lose, break down, get up and lift people up along with her. You shout at her, you cry with her. Your heart breaks for her. Barb and Ethel are the friends everyone dreams about.

A tribute to courageous women overlooked by history and war. The book lingers long after the last page ends forever.

The book arrived in OKAY condition not excellent. The edges are not crisp. Both the top and the bottom edges are bit torn, and the golden color is also removed. Looks like the dust cover has seen better days.

Just makes wonder how the people of a country can be so unaware of the politics of the governments and reasons for partaking in another country's affairs . And to what cost to the them!

Highly recommended.. Serious subject written about with care and the characters were brilliantly portrayed. Was sad to finish this one.

I admit I'm not an emotional reader. It takes a lot me make me shed tears while reading, but the ending of this book was surprisinly emotional for me. I love reading historical novels, but I knew little about the Vietnam War and its outcomes to the soldiers and nurses who ventured in there in service. A really good book that like many other that I've been reading, show the forgotten role of women in wars that marked a whole generation.

One of Kristin Hannah best books! Has of all her books had to put down and almost read in just two days. Great insight on not just Vietnam war but on all wars following that one. A book that confirmed all my believes. KH is a great story teller because she uses real life incidents. Her stories are never dull or meaningless.
