Review: Great product, but if your dog has had antibiotics, consider a gut biome test - I love Four Leaf Rover products. They are always top notch and worked well for my dog, but the "allergies" were a constant battle, requiring four rounds of anti-fungals and anti-biotics over 18 months. I was told by one board certified dermatologist, a holistic vet, and two regular vets that the problem was allergies, and they all recommended Apoquel and Cytopoint. I suspected a leaky gut, so I gave my dog probiotics, kifer, bone broth, yogurt, etc. It wasn't enough. When I did a Gut Biome test, there was a problem where some bacteria was absent and some were overgrown. I gave my dog fecal transplant pills, and his hotspots and yeast disappeared, and now his hair is coming in thick and full. He even seems happier...waking up every morning with a big smile and spring in his step.
Review: Love their products-highly recommend! - Long review ahead: First of all, my very large boy, 106 pounds- Great Pyrenees mix has been battling MCT for the past 2 years. He had one tumor removed on his leg 2 years ago. I went into research mode looking for more holistic ways to treat him after surgery. We used the 7 Shrooms religiously, and I added Turkey Tail mushrooms a few months later. At first I was very frustrated because I could not mix it in sufficiently, as another review mentions. I learned to add the scoops of mushrooms into the bowl and then slowly add warm water and slowly stir until it’s runny gravy consistency. I then add the dry kibble to the bowl and stir. He eats it right up! Unfortunately, I had a medical emergency and was buried by medical costs so I stopped purchasing and giving him the mushrooms, and he developed another MCT (whether this is related to stopping the mushrooms or not I don’t know, but he was doing GREAT on them). He had surgery 10 days ago and the pathology revealed very slim margins. In doing more research, and considering it is spring and he has horrible allergies also requiring cytopoint injections, I wanted to find something to boost his immune system. I read that this has 200mg of Quercetin, which is great for fighting cancer cells. He’s been taking it a couple of days and he loves it. I add it to the others and he doesn’t bat an eye. I love this company and that their mushrooms are grown on wood and are third party tested. I know they are a bit pricey but worth every cent imo. I will update when we have used a few months.

I love Four Leaf Rover products. We'll see how this works once the weather warms up but for now, I do think this took the edge off and kept me from having to give my dog daily Apoquel during this past winter. I'm not sure that he loves the taste (it's very green smelling) but if I mix it in with a topper for his kibble he eats fine. My other dog with MCT's wasn't affected by this (good or bad) but since it didn't seem to make a difference for her, I stopped adding it to her food. It certainly lasts longer when only given to one dog! Pricey but overall not a bad product to trial and see if it works for yours.
