Worked well on a soft metal (aluminum) application. It was difficult to keep the bit centered in the handle but fortunately there weren't that many rotations needed to finish the job. Good buy for the price.

Great product easy to use works well

Decent set of taps for the money. Used them to chase threads of weld nuts on the frame of a very dirty and rough-driven 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser with 118,000 miles. No problems with the taps. Cut clean and performed well. Even on stubborn rusty nuts. Worked the 8mm x 1.25 pitch tap very hard. However, the handle is horrible. Does not hold the taps tight. They fall out, especially when lubed with cutting oil. Thus, only 4 stars. I cannot find a tap handle that holds well, especially when using liberal amounts of penetrating oil. Any manufacturer listening? For the price to quaility, I recommend.

Unable to insert taps into mouth of driver. The chuck was stuck together rendering the tap holder useless. Had to return product.

It was about what I expected for the price. Nothing exceptional. I was using it on a piece of Phenolic and the first few threads got smushed but it continued to function. The Chuck didn’t work too well and the bit shifted a few times during use.

This tap worked great for me, and I had no issues with it. You do need to make sure that the bit is tightly secured before starting your tap, but that's common sense (to me, anyway). I had zero issues with it, and it did exactly what I wanted and expected it to do. I don't normally have a need to tap things, so when my need arose I looked for something inexpensive. This item was a whole kit and it delivered a job well done. No regrets at all.

For the price you can’t beat these ratcheting tap handles. While the taps are not production quality, they serve the purpose for threading a hole or cleaning up some buggered threads and I haven’t had any issues yet. Having a ratcheting tap allows you to limit the side loading and you are much more likely to avoid breaking a tap plus it aids in improving your patience When it is so easy to back it out, break the chip, and cut new threads.

Works very well; comes loose sometimes but no other issues. Manual is better for some cases
