Ranein Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater, 4.3 GPM, 100,000 BTU, Indoor

Installation was easy since I was replacing an old tankless heater. This one worked perfectly right off the start. I chose a slightly higher GPM due to the bottom mounted fan for longevity. I am so far very pleased with the unit.

This product is what it says it is natural gas hook up 80,000 BTUs this unit is good enough to run laundry machine. I full bath in a few minutes. Endless shower approximately 123° perfect. The unit is very self-sufficient and remember to buy the connections they provide. Other than hooking it up to your waterlines in lit outlet very easy to follow instructions. FYI DIY compatible and do follow airflow instructions and don't forget about the bladder tank if you don't have one you'll definitely need if you have bladder water bad water pressure. Then after hooking up the natural gas line 2 unit double check for leaks you spray bottle with a little bit of dawn dish soap or dish liquid spray and watch for bubbles if no bubbles you are OK. Plug-in unit 120 outlet close by with a GFI do note that GFI should be on one breaker instead of existing plug. no need for wiring since it has a plug itself built in. Fits any exterior wall double chuck waterlines turn unit on by faucet automatically starts warming water. The real test will be durability. It has been operating less than a year, but for the price, this seems like an easy decision. Mine supplies hot water to three sinks.

I had it hooked up at my house it worked for about a year and 2 months then the heater just started leaking from the inside out of nowhere and it's definitely the heater because it's coming from the inside of the heater I would recommend people not to buy this product very bad product and they will not honor it

I wanted to wait before I made a review. Its been running just fine for over a month now. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because, there is NO hardware whatsoever, nothing at all. Be prepared to take inventory of what you will need to get it all, in 1 trip to the hardware store. Another thing I didnt like was, this is only made to exhaust out of the side of a building. I had to buy a 3" x 3' water heater exhaust tube from the big box store (on my 3rd trip there) and it worked perfectly. Other than hardware, exhaust tube and no instructions, it was very easy, straight forward, and works great.

My Mom had ordered wrong one by mistake. Customer service was extremely helpful and understanding. They sent us the propane instead of gas. Got it installed and it works great! Would definitely recommend to others.

I replaced my 14 year old, 40 gallon water heater with this tankless water heater. Installed it my self using the 42 page installation instructions available on line from the seller. Venting requires category 3 stainless steel 3 inch hardware which is readily available on line but rather expensive. However any tankless water heater would have the same requirement because of the high BTU requirement. The vent pipe which comes with the unit has very limited application. The mounting hardware which comes with the unit is not practical unless you are mounting to a tile or masonry wall. I used a couple of 1x 4 boards that I ran horizontally and attached to the wall studs with lag bolts and then used short lag bolts to mount the unit to the boards. Installation was relatively easy; connected gas using a flexible gas line ( make sure it is rated for 100,000 BTUs). I recommend you use a polyphosphate water filter ( available from Amazon for $80) in line with the input water line to reduce scale problems that can occur with hard water. I really like the display feature of the unit. It shows actual water temperature as well as set temperature, water flow rate, and gas consumption rate. It is a great feature. I am using the unit in a house with 3 full baths and 3 adults. 2 people can shower at the same time and there is still adequate water for the kitchen. The 4.2 gpm flow rate is adequate for us. The unit does a good job of maintaining a constant temperature. I have the unit installed in the garage. It is relatively quiet and I don’t hear it running in the house. The exhaust fan is very quiet; the loudest sound is just the water running thru the unit. I highly recommend this tankless water heater.

Converted my mobile home from a tanked system to this some time ago. Vented it vertically against the instructions recommendations which made me nervous at first but it works great. Hot water on demand always. Showers, baths, laundry. All good. Occasionally it times out on me while doing dishes but I just turned the water off then on again. Does not require any push of a button in the event of a power outage if you have it installed somewhere not quite so convenient like myself but it is very compact so you could always put it somewhere more accessible if you can route the plumbing and exhaust.

I've always heard stories about tankless heaters not being good. This unit changed my mind completely. It heats the water instantly and never quits. No more waiting for the hot water tank to reheat. Its very small and saves so much space when you get that ugly water tank outta there. Really great product!! And as others have said, customer service is really good. if you have a question they get right back to you with the answer.

Doesn’t work, hooked up by plumber, doesn’t throw error codes just doesn’t work altogether

Hot water tank started leaking so bought one of these to replace. Install went very smooth, the wife loves hot hot baths and this thing is almost to much. Can turn down the heat setting on the easily readable digital display.
