Giving it a 1 start for several reasons - shoes I received were defective and made a loud clicking noise whenever I took a step - especially loud when going uphill. (Note that others have also mentioned this issue.) So, that's ok, defects happen, but then when you go to return it, you realize it came from Slovakia and you need to pay the postage to ship it back. (Maybe my bad for not reading carefully.) They do give a $20 postage credit on the refund, but my cost to return it was $75. I have been wearing Salomon's for years and will give them another try - but avoid this vendor!

I've owned Salomons in the past and they are typically extremely durable which is why I bought another pair. However the left shoe makes a popping noise when I walk. Super irritating!!! I think it's the material covering the toe box that's making the noise.

Las SALOMON X Ultra Pioneer Gore-Tex para senderismo hombre son unas zapatillas excepcionales. Sí, su precio es algo elevado, pero si buscas durabilidad, comodidad y protección bajo cualquier condición, la marca lo justifica completamente. Desde que las uso he notado cómo marchan bien tanto en terreno húmedo como seco gracias al Gore-Tex, que mantiene los pies secos sin sacrificar transpiración. El agarre es excelente, la suela tiene tracción segura en piedras y barro, y la estructura del tobillo da sujeción sin resultar rígida ni incómoda. Además, se sienten robustas, bien acabadas, con materiales de calidad que se notan al instante. Puede que existan opciones más baratas, pero pocas ofrecen este nivel de confort, soporte técnico y resistencia. En definitiva: sí, son una inversión, pero si caminas, haces rutas frecuentes o simplemente te gusta tener buen calzado para outdoor, estas Salomon lo merecen. ¡Muy recomendables!

J ai acheté ces chaussures pour faire le GR20 en Corse. Pour la pointure je chausse du 45 en chaussures de ville type Clarks et j ai pris du 46 pour salomon, sachant que ma pointure asic est 46,5. Ces chaussures sont de vrais chaussons, hyper confortables et je n ai eu sur cette rando de 16 jours qu une petite ampoule sur le dessus d un doigt de pieds (indolore). Le maintien est parfait même sans les serrer très fort et j ai souvent remercier les renforts au bout quand j ai tapé des pierres ou des racines, les chaussures ont tout amorti. Après ce trek hyper exigeant les chaussures sont intacts ( j ai vu des modèles concurrents complètement déchirés avant la dernière étape) et seuls les crampons témoignent de l intensité physique du parcours. Certains sont usés au 2/3. Ce qui m à le plus impressionné et l incroyable grip de ces chaussures sur les rochers. Jamais l adhérence ne m'a trahi, que ce soit dans ma neige, sur les grosses plaques lisses et inclinées ou dans des prises dans des micro aspérités. Je leur ai un peu confié ma vie dans des passages difficiles et cette adhérence incroyable à toujours été là pour m aider. Évidemment pour le prochain trek je rachèterai les même, sachant que celles-ci me serviront encore mais maintenant pour des sorties plus tranquilles, les crampons ne tiendront plus 100km dans des conditions extrêmes. Pour information, avec le sac j étais à plus de 100kg et le GR20 fait 180km et 14000m de dénivelé dans des roches très agressives.
