Nice choice!
This Arame has very mild texture, the taste is pleasant, ready to eat just after 5 min soaking in water. Very important -this Arame from Japan has much less sodium than the same seaweed from Korea (not even mention the ones from China). And Arame contains less iodine compared to Wakame which makes it suitable for everyday consumption.

Interesting addition to a salad
I needed the Eden Arame for a salad and was fortunate to find it on Amazon. It’s easy to use and will take on the taste from the salad dressing. The natural seaweed added a nice dimension to my salad. Delivery was fast.

Although arame is a species of kelp that is now farmed in South Korean waters, it once grew naturally only in Japanese waters
I would have given this product 5 stars if it were priced more competitively against the 2 best-selling seaweeds, namely, nori and wakame. Of the 5 best-selling species of kelp (kombu, arame, mozuku, limu moui, and hijiki), kombu is in oversupply and sells at the lowest price per ounce. Together with those 5 kelp species, wakame and mekabu are also classified as "brown" seaweeds. However, wakame and mekabu, which is just the lower part of the wakame stalk, are not classified as kelps. "Brown" seaweeds are classified as chromalveolates; they are not plants. Meanwhile, nori (laver), ogo (limu), and dulse are classified as "red" seaweeds. "Red" seaweeds are classified as plants; they are not chromalveolates. This arame seaweed product is cut into soft, easy-to-chew strips. This arame seaweed product does not contain any delicious but deadly sea salt. Unlike most Atlantic Ocean seaweed products, this arame seaweed product does not have any tiny whole shells (mollusks) attached to it. Overall, this arame seaweed product is a delicious, salt-free treat.

Perfect for Veggie Rice Balls
I am making iconic dishes from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for a party next week celebrating the release of Tears of the Kingdom. This worked PERFECTLY for the stringy brown veggies in the Veggie Rice Balls. A little goes a long way, so I'll be able to make a LOT with a single package. Thank you very much for having this available, since I wasn't able to find any in my local Asian Supermarket.
