A: The tube is 20 and 1/4 inches long, but counting the pins on both ends it's a total of almost 21 inches.  Check the full length of your fixture taking into account the extra amount for the pins.

**Q: are these bulbs made in china?**
A: Yes, according to the box in which the are packed.

**Q: What is the difference between f17t8 and f13t5??**
A: The length and the wattage of the bulbs are different.

**Q: What size starter would I need to use with this size tube?  Old one got lost.**

These bulbs were in perfect shape with each one in its own little round tube soft foam housing. I'm not sure what the deal was but they wouldn't work in my light fixture even though the numbers were the same. They fit andctwited in place, but didnt light when the switch was turned on. Unfortunately, I had to send back. Don't hesitate to try them though! My fixture is an old one so that might be the problem I'm having!
