can this be mounted in the wall between studs?

Yes, the safe has a reserved mounting hole, and two fixing screws are also presented in the accessories. thank you.

Hi! I want to get this for a rental property. Can it just open with a passcode?

yes you can open the safe with just a passcode, if that's all you need though - you might want to consider a safe that does not include the fingerprint scanner. Regardless, it works just fine with just a passcode - I have mine set up with both passcode and fingerprint scanning. Did the passcode first so know that it works with just that an no fingerprint reading.

Are there instructions somewhere? There was none with the item

Hello, spare keys, instructions and other accessories are in a small black box. You can find that box in the outer packing box. If not, please contact us. I can send you the electronic version of the manual. Thank you.

Safe is perfect solution for my security needs.

Great safe for home or apartment. Enough space to hold documents flat, very easy to open & close. Took awhile to get the codes in but persevered and went ahead. This is a nice looking unit and fits within the space allotted. Like that the numbers for opening are incorporated within the front display which is only visible when front is touched. Enjoy no code to close. Just push the door & hold for a few seconds; automatically locks itself. For the security I was seeking, this is an excellent choice for me. It is heavy enough it would take an effort to get it out of its space and out the door. But, I was able to lift in place with the help of another lady.
