Compatible Timer Knob for Hotpoint HTDX100EM2WW, Hotpoint HTDX100GM0WW, Hotpoint NWXR483GG4WW, Dryer

Not a “perfect fit” which is weird because a picture of my exact dryer was shown in another favorable review. I managed to make it a little better but some VERY scary heavy duty pushing was involved. It seems a bit “off” as to the cycles, but not sure that is the fault of the dial. Not sure if the durability factor yet, as it appears to be identical to the original, which didn’t even last 18 months. Good price point though, in case I have to replace it.

[Update] Broke within 2 weeks.Packaged well and a perfect fit. The only thing I worry about is the longevity of this replacement knob. It’s the same as the original that broke because there was no metal retainer to add strength to it. There needs to be either a metal retainer or make the knob out of a stronger thicker plastic. As a consumer I would pay more for items that need to be made with more costly material if it meant lasting longer. Overall a great replacement though and well worth the money.

Most disliked was that the fit did not go all the way in. I pushed and pushed and it did not fit exactly as the broken one I needed to replace. Dryer works again, so this knob works. I bought 2 of them, since plastic may crack and I have the second one as a backup.....

The knob "D" shaft connection cracked allowing the knob to rotate without turning the shaft. This new knob connected correctly but does not aesthetically match the dryer. A working knob is better than looking good. This knob just like the design will eventually crack like all others. I will just order another knob when that happens.

I have purchased two knobs within two years. First knob cracked after six months. The second cracked in six months. How hard would it be to place a metal D-ring in side the cap. Absolute rip off! Me thinks these are made in China! Never again!

After 3 of these & a new timer because of using pliers @ times while knob was on order. JB Weld the knob. Clean the timer shaft with alcohol. Fill the knob with JB weld & install. Let it sit for a day. Best fix & it has lasted now.

Ordered this to replace a cracked timer knob on my Hotpoint dryer. It’s just like the original part (except it has a chrome line on it so it’s a little fancier). Another review complained that there was no metal piece inside the connector, but mine had one. I included a picture of the back because I didn’t see any on here and that should help you see if the connector will fit your machine.

This dryer was poorly conceived! I and others have broken their knobs, stripped/broken the control module with pliers waiting for replacement knobs, and just generally been disappointed in this poor design—you know what I’m talking about, or you wouldn’t be looking at buying one of these LOL.Well, I’m happy to say they’ve put a metal collar around the sleeve so it won’t break!
