I had one arrive DOA, and I had one fail due to a roof leak that dumped water on it, otherwise, no failures in 6 years. The only knocks I'd give them are a very poorly written chinglish manual and a non-standard MODBUS interface. I did get MODBUS to work after about 2 weeks of heavy debugging and altering the protocol. Everything else works fine. One note - if you buy an HY series (instead of GT series) be sure to specify that you want the braking resistor circuit installed. While they advertise it has having braking they don't populate that circuit unless you specifically request it (no extra charge). Review: Customer support was great they responded right away! - I wanted to give an update on my issue. Huanyang's customer service is top notch. They responded quickly and assured me that they would take care of the issue after desertcart was out of stock on the model that I order and really wanted. Huanyang customer service shipped me a replacement of the model that I originally purchased and wanted. Once I received the replacement VFD and verify it works as expected. I will update this post again. Based on my previous experience with Huanyang VFD I expect it to be excellent quality and performance. That was one of the reasons I was so disappointed when the first one did not power on.
