Perfect apartment dehydrator!
I just got this dehydrator and I love it already. Maybe I should have gone bigger! It’s very easy to use and clean. Tray grids are nice and small so nothing is slipping through. I’ve used it for four batches already. Had to go buy more strawberries because my son loves them so much. I’m using it to dry extra greens and unused spinach right now. This will definitely reduce my fresh produce waste. Can’t wait to try out jerky! It’s also very quiet. Perfect for my small apartment.

Perfect tabletop dehydrator
Small and compact, but comes with power. Love making different types of jerky. Works like a charm and fits perfectly on my kitchen counter

Works Great
Excellent Dehydrator for small batches. I enjoy dried fruit but am the only one eating it, so this was the perfect size. It dries two large apples at a time, and It fits nicely on the counter without taking up a lot of space. Timer works well, and the trays are metal... it cleans up easily after use. The design moves air sideways, so you can use parchment paper under messy foods. There is an easily cleanable catch pan in the bottom to contain drips, if you don't use paper. Great purchase!

I have bought thousands of items off amazon and rarely do I take the time to write a review
Did the Deep Dive in ResearchingLooked at all the other brands, watched youtube videos, etc before I made a purchase, decided on the Cosori 5 Rack max temp 176 degree, bought it, arrived the next day and here are my thoughts. Why I boughtI mainly bought it because I like to make beef jerky, I love beef jerky and most of the store bought jerky has all kinds of preservatives and curing salts things that extend shelf life of the jerky but may cut down on yours...With this 5 rack bundle of joy I can control what is in my jerky, i've made just salt and pepper, marinaded jerky, you name it...absolutely love this thing. The smaller unit has a Jerky button which defaults to a 4 hour cook time at 165 degree temp which you can extend the time(also if you push the jerky button twice it defaults to a lower temp for 8 hours) Again you still have manual controls so you could possible dehydrate something at 176 for 48 hours however i would not advise that, that would probably destroy whatever you were trying to dehydrate and be hard on your dehydrator. But depending on your thickness of your beef you can finish a batch in that 4 hour window or extend your time at a lower temp/sky is the limit. Also I should note I did the calculations on the electricity cost and cost of meat and all that, for me I save about 25% off commercial jerky when it is on sale BUT I control the cuts of meat quality and what goes in it, and that is the value for me...I eat a more carnivore diet so if I were consuming preservative laden beef jerky I am sure it would effect me big time.Big things Small PackageI think they really optimized this smaller unit because, I can get 1.5lbs of jerky in each batch, the 5 rack unit only uses i think around 480 watts max, its just a nice compact unit but can do allot. I was looking at the bigger units before but i really love this one, if i reach capacity i will just buy a second unit rather that going to a larger unit. This is low wattage (but efficiently optimized for use), plenty of size to do all you need.Dog Treats so FarI have all these ambitions to do Vegi Dog Treats but like Dog and Owner my dog loves the beef jerky treats I make for him which are just dried beef no seasoning. I do plan on making dried green beans, dried carrots and sweet potatoes. Just remember I am sure all dog owners know this you have to be very careful what you feed your dogs they cannot under any circumstances have certain foods like garlic, onions, certain fruits, I am sure you are all aware just a PSA for those who were unaware to check out the AKC and others to see what is safe for our furry friends. Anyways I love that great treats are on my dogs horizon (if you have ever seen the back of a Dog Treats label looking at the ingredients) this is much better alternative. The BadsI bought a vacuum sealer at the same time I bought this Cosori to seal my beef jerky for longer term freezer storage....I am afraid it will never get used.Final ThoughtsAgain I do not review things, my time is more valuable to waste writing an essay on something for the good or for the bad. But buy it, you will not regret it, don't walk, run towards getting yours! it's outstanding! Not sure I covered what I plan on trying in it later (zuccini flour so I can sub 1/3 of the flour I make pizza dough, I want to do peppers when they are on sale to make a seasoning, carrot chips, zuccini chips and green beans for snacking, I have heard if you caramelized onions then dehydrate them they make an excellent topper for anything from hamburgers to green bean casserole instead of deep fried onions) Anyways enough of my singing it's praises.

Purchased just for Beef Jerky !
I purchased the small 5 tray unit, just for Beef Jerky. I didn't want to spend a lot money on the bigger Cosori. So I purchased the small one. 5, fine wire mesh metal trays, a Pre-Set Jerky setting, does it at 165 degrees F takes 4 hours to finish. This thing works great ! I've made 6 different batches of Beef Jerky. I use the leanest beef I can purchase at the grocery store, usually Top Sirloin, or London Broil. I trim off any visible fat and wrap it in plastic and put it in the Freezer until it firms up. Then using a chef's knife, I slice it thin, about 2 nickels thick. I lay the pieces out and salt and pepper them, both sides, and refrigerate 24 hours before placing the pieces onto the fine wire mesh trays. Press Jerky, Press Start. 4 hours later I've got the best unadulterated (albeit Redmond's salt and fresh cracked black pepper corns Beef Jerky). My neighbor likes it too ! Oh, I divide the Jerky into small piles and using a Food Saver along with one Deoxidizer packet seal them up using the Food Saver. Quick, travel-ready snacks. They will last a long, long time in my refrigerator. Good Job Cosori

Pleasantly Pleased
Fantastic dehydrator for small jobs. It does have five shelves, but they are pretty small in surface area. The mesh shelves were super easy to clean every time. I liked that the machine was quiet as it dehydrated.

Very reliable, quiet, and great for small family
I’ve used this nonstop since purchasing. We are two adults with five acres and in our 60’s. I dehydrated carrots, mushrooms, onions, and herbs. It’s quiet, efficient and just the right size.

Food Dehydrator
I’m very happy with this food dehydrator. I used it to make my sugar cookies and it worked great. The heat distributes evenly and the cookies came out with the perfect texture. It’s also very easy to use and clean. Definitely a great tool if you enjoy making homemade snacks or trying new recipes. Highly recommend!

This cannot be used in the UK
This is an American product and you can't just buy an adapter to use this in the UK. There'll be too much power going through it and it won't work. If you want to give it a punt, you'll also need to get a step down power converter which is hefty and costs half as much as this does.

Excelente compra
Llevo más de un año con este producto y funciona a la perfección, no se sobrecalienta y tiene un panel de control muy práctico. El único tema es que las bandejas son algo pequeñas y, al deshidratar carne, los olores se esparcen mucho en el ambiente.

Great small size dehydrator
Some of the things i was looking for:- small size- no plastic parts as this thing is exposed to heatIt’s a great dehydrator. Easy to use. All the parts are stainless steel minus the fruit roll tray which i do not use. Great size considering it’s all stainless steel parts. It’s about the size of an average microwave.I use it to make homemade dog treats (beef jerky, fish jerky, cookies, etc…) and this thing is perfect. It’s small but mighty, perfect size if you have a small dog

Changes the way to look at different types of foods!
I have only used the Cosori food dehydrator a handful of times but I am quite impressed. It comes with a recipe book for different types of things to try which is nice to have and very convenient.I have a new love for dehydrated ham, it's on the higher sodium side but turns a hunk of ham into a great snack to have during my winter plowing shifts where you cannot sit and enjoy a proper meal. It doesn't even take that long either only 2 hours and it's good to go!

Wrong power plug
It arrived with a US 110V power plug not a UK 240v 3 pin plug. Its not made clear in the listing unless I missed it. Either way it's completely useless for my requirements. Sent it back straight away
