The height of the neck pillow is perfect, strong, and supportive. I hate neck pillows, but I have an upcoming 13 hour flight and I’m definitely napping! The designs I also compared with some kind of tie strap, all looked flimsy and too narrow, like it might be choking. OMG no way. This wide, firm strap...in the middle/center of the pillow is perfect. It doesn’t slip out of place either. The strap snugs the soft pillow against the neck comfortably and not like strangling. Definitely NOT constricting (I’m claustrophobic so yes, I understand constricting!) The main concern for me was the use of a full size noise canceling headset while using this neck pillow. Some reviewers said it’s impossible BUT NO, it does work just fine!! Once wearing the pillow, use your fingers to create a little depression under your ears, your headset will fit and stay on just fine. I’ve tried this three times lately on long car travel. I’m confident I’ll have quiet time on my plane flight. My traveling friends asked to try this and they loved it too, so I ordered another pair for them. My hubby loves neck pillows, don’t ask me why he wears them all the time! On the sofa using his iPad, in the recliner watching tv...really! He didn’t like this style, it was too tall for his neck. I got him one of the memory foam types (not the little bead types), with cooling gel...he liked that size, but sadly the cooling gel doesn’t “get through” the velour cover. So sad. The only drawback is the sheer bulk of the pillow. It makes my traveling backpack a bit oversized for under-the-seat spots, but I automatically pull out my little blanket, put it on my seat, sit on it. I put my neck pillow on for takeoff! Problem solved, lol. Overall, the comfort derived is well worth dealing with the occasional bulk issue. The eye cover that comes with this is ok, a bit stiff. It has a non-stretch satiny band with Velcro to adjust the size...um, yeah, that’s not working with hair. The ear foams are also stiff/hard. Ones for sale anywhere locally are softer, so get other ones. I’m thinking the ear foams will fall off the little holding slots...nobody wants missing or dirty (fallen on the floor) ear foams. The included higher grade ear foams are nice and I love the little metal screw-open container. Review: Good travel kit - I like this pillow set alot. Ut has everything yoi need in one bag. I travel alot so it helps keep everything together. Only thing i feel could be better is the strap. They were great! I really appreciated the fact that you can buckle them closed while you’re wearing them so they don’t slip or move around. It takes a little bit of time to get used to wearing them, kind of feels like you’re wearing a neck brace, and you don’t have much room to move your head around when it’s on. But that’s also why they came in handy on our flights. You don’t want your head flopping around or your pillow falling on the stranger sitting next to you.
