32SF540K 32 inch FHD Fire TV with OS7 Smart television - HDR & HLG-Dolby Audio-DTS Virtual X/DTS-HD-Metal Bezel-less-Dual-band Wifi 5-with Fire OS 7 system

I needed to replace the old telly in the guest bedroom and started my search. Didn't want to spend a fortune but had in mind a 32 inch for nax. £300. The TCL telly intrigued me. How could they do it at this price - delivered??? The spec. looked impressive, comments were good., so I thought about it for a day or two and so, given I could return it easily if needed. I placed my Prime order. My friendly courier rocked-up nest day, as scheduled with the box. He handed it to me and I was stunned by the lack of weight. Careful unpacking, attaching the feet and plugging-in took about 20 minutes. Powered-up nicely and I then began the set-up. n.b. there's no co-ax port for your TV aerial because you don't nned it any more!! It's all very intuitive but you'll need your little book of logins and passwords to access your home Wi-fi and then the individual apps on the screen. Once logged in, they just work. In Summary: It's a great peiece of kit, the new functionality (way of accessing TV content) may do your head-in for a day or two. That soon passes though.. Sound and Picture quality are both great. Perfect for a bedroom or kitchen SUMMARY: I'm a believer - friends and family love it too. Extraordinary value for money. JUST BUY ONE.

I bought this tv cos it was cheap an cheerful not costing a arm an a leg. I'm really really impressed with this it's ridiculously lightweight setup was super easy to do. The batteries that were supplied I had to change as once they were in the remote the remote wouldn't work but new batteries an all is fine. I went to Dolby Surround in my audio settings an turned that on as it was set at off. I saw alot of precious reviews before I bought this moaning about the sound being tiny! You've just seen the lil vid I did on the sound do not listen to the reviews of ppl saying the sound isn't good they don't know what they are talking about!. I leave reviews on practically everything we buy believe me when I say there is nothing wrong with this sound!. Love this tv, well worth the price it is perfect. What a bargain so worth the price tag.!

This tv is amazing , smart tv , fire tv & not only picks up Freeview but freesat as well at such a low price . It’s really lightweight but you wouldn’t guess just looking at it ,has unbeilable really thin metal frame with glass screen that makes it look like a quality tv . Picture is great sound as would expect from a low priced tv can be a bit tinny but ok . Sadly had no choice but to return even though I really wanted to keep it but as it’s for kitchen only had room to wall mount it. Not sure if was a fault or as is but of the 4 mounting holes on back seems only 2 had threads & it needs really small bolts which none of our numerous wall mounts had , meant we didn’t feel confident to attempt putting it on wall but maybe someone more able could probably sort that .

The vesa 100x100 mounting holes are quite low on the back of the TV so bare that in mind if you're buying this to replace a much older tv which might have a larger format vesa mounting system that is high up on your existing tv, the mounting holes have a raised lip and cause mounting arms not to sit flat so it's easy for them to shift and sit offcentre thus it's a bad design for those with tilting mount arms for a wall mounted rail, it won't affect a mounting plate however yet this means a bit of faff with you being required to test fit the mount to make sure the tv sits straight and isn't lifting to one side. The lightweight design is very nice so mounting it to a wall rail is easy, the screen is incredibly bright and the speakers are ok but not the best quality, the wifi connectivity seems to be pretty good but I will be wiring in a ethernet cable for a more solid connection with wifi being a backup. I have a Majority Snowdon II soundbar and the remote interferes with this smart tv - Button presses on the soundbar remote correlate with the action from the soundbar and also mirror a channel number press on the provided fire remote, there is no fix around it and thus im forced to endure forever pausing video and audio everytime i adjust the sound - I didn't have this problem with my old TV, and even using the soundbars IR code to implement control with the tv remote and following all the suggested steps to remedy the issue it still persists. The remote and tv have no customisation in the form of disabling the channel control buttons - Im using this purely for amazon prime video and mirroring video from my pc and nintendo switch. Having to go to the main menu to enter the actual full options/settings menu is a bit of a pain, I don't have an aerial connection as everything moved to digital a decade ago so the channel feature feels completely useless and ill-thought. For the price it's a nice affordable TV, but its compatability with Majority soundbars and remote interference is rather frustrating and poor. You can enable and customise a through-control system with the soundbar but the manufacturer isn't listed or found by this tv so i'm using a generic profile it generated that gives me basic sound control, I really wish they would of included some way to set the IR controls onto a different frequency so the two remotes i have don't interfere. The instruction manual and support from TCL is pretty bad - I'm having to use chapgpt to tell me about features. EDIT: 8/3/2026 after just a few months the TV died, and please note I was not using it everyday or for many hours, in the first week of ownership I watched a lot of The Grand Tour maybe 2-3 hours a day and after that I used it every other night for an hour or two before going to bed, and something on the power supply board had failed and it blown the plugged 5A ceramic fuse, i replaced the fuse but the TV shown zero life and would not power on at all so i've returned it. I replaced a 14 year old Hannspree TV for this, so i'm really disappointed in the lack of quality of components used in the assembly, that combined with the fact this TV produces a horrible constant hum when using it with my Snowden Majority II soundbar which works perfectly with other devices via bluetooth and optical.

A very nice TV that was super easy to set up using a QR code set up, the picture is sharp with natural colours , it's a really slim TV too and the size is perfect for a bedroom or small living room. The TV stands were easy to attach and the smart TV stands sturdy , the slim design and thin edging around the screen give it a modern stylish look. The in built speakers sound great for a small TV the sound quality is good and the television is certainly loud enough with clear dialogue and music during movies and programmes. I think it was one of the easiest TVs to set up and the menu and navigation is really easy with the apps easy to select and navigate such as Amazon prime and other apps. I have it hooked up to a console too , using the remote control it's easy to select source and HDMI 1 to access console straight away or just leave it on the menu to watch programmes using the apps menu. The TV is superb value compared to other similar televisions , it's a bargain and really good quality, the picture is sharp , colours stand out , it's a slim design, easy to set up, a good quality remote control and decent sound quality. Perfect size for a bedroom or to use with a console on a desk.

Had this 32” Television for just over a year now. I was thrilled with it to begin with as it was the first television I owned with built in fire tv so I could dispense with my plug in fire stick. Hooked up so easily. You just plug it. However, early on, after a few hours of use I noticed a distortion line across the bottom of the screen. It only appears after the tv has been on for a few hours so it didn’t bother me too much. This tv is for the bedroom so didn’t get much use or too often. Anyway, I’m currently bed bound and am making full use of this tv. It’s been on about 6 hours now and the distortion is gradually creeping up the screen. DISTORTION = blurry, blue/green hue, not able to read the subtitles. I figured it was time I gave this model a review. So it good for occasional use but it’s not going to last much longer. I should have returned it the moment I noticed it had a fault.
