It doesn't have a base like my other did to charge but it has wireless charging and by the way it came 3/4 charged. I originally bought this one with the foil for my wife to use on her legs but I think it's going to get more use on my face than her legs I may just have to buy her her own. Photo includes the two side by side and by the way my old one still works perfectly. Would definitely recommend buying these they are a bit expensive but you get what you pay for they're worth every dollar. We had one for a few years and it sadly stopped working on my husband in the middle of trying to trimmers his goatee, so I had to get a new one. I'm glad that I looked at all of the different ones, because this one is even better than the original Lawnmower that we had! It has the 2 interchangeable heads with it, and even I can use it to groom as well. The ONLY THING that I don't like is that you have to plug it in to charge it instead of it being compatible with the old wireless charger that we've already got from the old Lawnmower 2.0 or 3.0, so there's that...but it's a type C charger, that it comes with.
