wanted to buy something for my husband as a 25th wedding anniversary gift. this hit the mark, "silver" coloured and great for someone who is heavy handed with the gin!

Great British pewter spirit measure. It measures spirits and doesn’t look cheap alongside your the fancy drinks in your cabinet. I’m on a diet and like to treat myself to a Scotch once in a while - I found I was useless at eyeballing how much each measure was in order to calculate the calories, hence the need for a decent spirit measure. I found that a lot of the other options I found were pretty basic or else looked like something Wetherspoons would use. I’m glad I paid a bit more for proper pewter and something that looks at home in my place.

Have been looking for a well crafted spirit measure and this is a beautiful pewter piece of kitchenware. The price is above average for similar products but it is unique, sturdy and practical. I would have awarded it 5 stars but I feel that the company has missed a trick by not promoting the product as being 'Made in Sheffield' as advertised in information online. I was hoping for a small leaflet, sticker or some acknowledgement in or on the presentation box. I bought two ... and one was a gift and I would have liked to have showed off Sheffield craftsmanship.

I’m happy with this. The little holding part does appear to be pewter. The main body looks too much like stainless steel so I query whether this is truly pewter.

So aside from the fact it looks great, its made well and guess what.... Measures your spirits. But looking at it, well its a piece of art. So it puts a wee smile on my face every time I make a G&T. On the downside, I can only seem to be able to use the double measure side!! So not sure on how well the single measure works.... ;-)

A break from the norm... a lovely antique look and a great quality.
