A good effort
A decent book on NATO’s proxy war on Russia. Does miss out a lot of Russian equipment like the 9M133 Kornet and VPK-7829 Boomerang but all in all a good effort at showing the equipment used on the NATO and Russian sides. Glory to Russia - URA! 🇷🇺🫡

Lots of information and reading time!
Informative, maybe could use some more items included in the book but lots of useful info, I bought it so I could recreate some vehicles in minecraft as exact as possible.

an interesting and thoroughly researched book
I received this as an ARC from NetGalley with thanks. This is an interesting and thoroughly researched book, detailing the weaponry used in Ukraine against the ruscists. This was very detailed, well explained and the attendant photographs illustrative. I'd recommend this book to others.

A wide ranging selection
Wide ranging but somewhat concise and selective. Much more information is available elsewhere but not in a similarly convenient package. A useful addition to a hard copy collection of information about the conflict.

They don't bother with details
Another from the publisher with an aversion to important details. Wouldn't you want to know which side is using what weapons? I do but the book does not give you this very important fact. You have to guess is it used by Russia, Ukraine or both. Infuriating!

Disappointing book. It tries to cover all weapons of the conflict of both sides, small arms, anti-tank, AFV, Artillery, Anti-Aircraft, Aircrafts, ships, drones, missiles... all that in 124 small pages. It provides a generic description of some important weapons, although a lot are missing or badly documented, so much that this book is useless to understand the weapons of the conflict. As an example, the NLAW has a tiny paragraph in the Disposable Anti-armour weapons while the old RPG-7 has 2 pages. There is nothing about the small arms provided by western countries. The Stryker does not even have a paragragh. Many of the weapons are presented with very old graphics seen elsewhere or with known pictures, while maybe half the entries do not have any. The tanks and AFV included are mostly of Soviet origin, are presented at high level without going into sub versions that would help understanding and identify the differences or their sources. Unless you know nothing about weapons, we will browse through the book in 30 minutes and not learn anything.

This book could have been a lot better. The photos used to illustrate the weapons were older photos not showing them in Ukrainian service. I think with the amount of information and photos out there a little more effort could have gone a long way. The information presented didn’t shed any new light of use about the performance of the weapons during the conflict and were basically rehashed stats that are readily available elsewhere.
