This was a good value for the money. It's made of plastic but it's durable. You put water in the jar and then you put the base on top of the jar and secure it together, then flip it over so water can drain out of the jar into the little well. It only does so when you press the button. When you press the button the water flows into the well. When you want to rinse your brush, you swish it in the little well, then press the button and the dirty water goes down in the base and clean water fills the little well. It is really a good performance and design. It has little Wells to put some paint that you are using if you want to do that. I have used those for blending not for holding solid colors that I'm using. When you are done painting you simply separate the top of the base from the bottom of the base empty out the dirty paint water. You can clean it easily and you can empty the jar of water. It's very helpful when you want to paint and clean your brush. Many times I've used just a red Solo cup and then sometimes I'll grab it thinking it's my water cup but I catch myself. This is nice because I don't think of it as my water cup. I think this would be a good thing even for a child, but it would have to be an older child because I think a younger child would keep pressing the button and as long as you hold down the button the water will be flowing. You only want to push it down a little to fill the well and stop when you see the well is full. But I think it's a nice little helpful tool while painting.

This paint brush cleaner set is fantastic! Both of my daughters, ages 8 and 12, absolutely love using it. The design is super cute, which immediately caught their attention, but it’s also incredibly functional. It has made painting even more enjoyable for them and helps keep their art space much cleaner. The automatic cleaning feature is a game changer. It keeps the water from getting too dirty between colors, making it easier for the kids to switch paints without muddying their artwork. It’s simple to use, works well, and encourages more creative play. I would definitely recommend this set to any parent with young artists at home!

This is a neat concept & seems like a winner but isn't. I noticed the lid didn't screw into the water container. The container had threads to screw on the lid but the lid doesn't have the complementary threads. This can create a big spill issue if you happen to accidentally bump it over. I put water in it and tried it with the small water tank just to see and at first it seemed ok, but within a few minutes it was leaking all over the place from the lid. It is smaller than you think in general, medium & large brushes don't fit in the washing reservoir & it is quite shallow which means it does not rinse your small/tiny brush in one "flush" of the water, it was more like 8-12 or more flushes & that was with wiping the excess paint off the brush before attempting to rinse. This would NOT be good for children with the big spill factor & the amounts of paint they would use in general during play. If they fix the leaking lid, secure the water tank so it screws on with a seal, make it larger, increase the rinse section (size & depth), I could see it's use, but only by an adult that does fine detail work with small brushes, using minimal paint. Bottom line: a neat concept, but the design needs real work to be a truly functional item for children and adults, unless you don't mind the leaks; possibility of an uncontrolled splash down if it falls over & spending more time managing the contraption than actual painting, it may work for you. + 1 Star for the concept - 1 Star for unrealistic functionality & poor execution in design. - 1 Star for complicating, rather than improving your project experience. - 2 Stars for the possibility of ruining your project, clothing and furniture with an unsecure tank of water that may also release the rinse water with paint in it if accidentally knocked over.

Works as intended but slowly all leaks into the bottom

Honestly I was skeptical bc of the cheap price but I was pleasantly surprised. I never leave reviews but I’ve found this product very nifty for my lil paint projects. I’m definitely no major artist by any means. I’ve found it most useful for my paint by numbers. It saves me so much time from having to get up to change the dirty water. I can finally switch between 10 different colors without losing focus. I was worried it wouldn’t clean the brush well and I would need to pump it many times per color. The little ridges help rub the paint off the brush so even for my large brushes it takes 2 pumps max. Only negative thing is the 4 little brush holders are not deep enough to hold longer brushes. Overall: It’s a good product for what it cost. Definitely worth it. I can honestly say I’m glad I got it and kinda upset I didn’t get it sooner!

Took me a few try’s to make sure it was all put together (I didn’t notice it had a notch on the water bottle) it works perfectly. Very compact design helps to keep from making a mess. Also love how it doesn’t hurt my brushes, for what I paid for it it works perfectly

unless the water storage bottle is completely full, it’s not heavy enough to stay on the dispenser. the plastic lid does not screw on, so it comes off easily. leaks, but it is cute and affordable.

Does not come assembled and leaks like crazy. I returned it, not worth the price, its CHEAP.

Amazing device! Surely perfect for water painting! A bit tricky for acrylic or thick paint… Can be tricky to wash. Overall, I would still recommend
