Colourful exterior bland interior
84 pages of black and white poor quality pictures, widely spaced text to make it 84 pages instead of 40. Its a book of common sense for those who have none. Should be £1.99 at most. Great colourful cover with more than bland contents

Shipping Container Homes by David Master
David Master had some VERY GOOD information about building your own shipping container home. If anything, unless you have some experience, it would be rather daunting I think. Not only because it requires general building skills just like a regular home, but will also require you knowing how to go about getting the required permits from government entities to proceed! UG. For that reason alone, I would rather it is someone else's headache! The book is organized very well. He starts out explaining what these types of homes are, then discusses the different types of containers that can be purchased and the cons of turning them into homes. He then segues into where to find, buy, and how to ship them to your property. Then gets to MY favorite subject of governmental permits. The next chapter takes you thru the building process - adding doors, windows floors, plumbing and electrical, insulation and weatherproofing. See what I mean by daunting? If you're a DIY, you won't have any problems. If you just LIKE the idea of living in something unusual, then hire a Realtor and have her look for a lighthouse or old church or something! I did really enjoy looking at all the cool pictures and floor plans he provided. I do not regret buying the book-it was actually an accident! I LOVE books and have never regretted buying one. I do prefer hard copies though...I just like the FEEL of a book in my hand. So, I'm sure I'll eventually add the paperback to my collection for this very reason! Overall, a wonderful reference book if you are planning to do this; and a wonderful book if you just like learning. And someday I HOPE to SEE a really neat coffee table book of shipping container homes worldwide being done. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

Disappointed
Same as most showing same container homes nothing new in it. No plans just drawings and sketches of interiors.

This is a sh"t book. Clearly translated (poorly), exact verbiage I've seen in other books, pictures I see when I Google.... take this sentence: "You will never repent of extra investment." Again, poorly translated. No actual explanation of: how the containers are joined, how the foundation attaches to the containers, how interior framing attaches, etc etc etc.Don't bother. Real review here.
