NOT for painting miniatures
Purchased a flat 1/8th inch one stroke as well as some W&N No. 7's sent by Hyatt's All Things Creative. The No.7's came with a brush cap and were inside a plastic tube, the one stroke was just placed loose in a box with some crumpled shipping paper on top so that the bush arrived with all the hair bent at a funny angle. I used some brush soap and seemed to be able to reform the tip without too much hassle. A couple months later I actually got around to using the brush for the reason I bought it, painting miniatures with water based acrylic paint. The brush seemed to work fine at first and held its point to a certain extent but as soon as I dipped it in my water cup to change colors the edge was obliterated and the hairs would split into about 8 separate clumps making it not very useful for me. This brush may work better with actual water colors on a flat surface but for painting miniatures I'm just going to purchase a larger No. 7.
