It’s better to either set it up to spin stops or catch Pokémon. If you set it up to catch Pokemon I wouldn’t pay attention to your catch log or you’ll see shiny Pokémon running away. Personally I like setting it to spin stops so I can catch the mons without running out of balls. It has decent battery life. Although it turns itself off after about an hour of use and you have to turn it back on. It does work without you having Pokémon go on your screen, so you can keep Pokémon go as a background app while doing other things. You can’t turn off the vibration or light.
