Much improved over earlier production
I want to let you know upfront that I am using Elenker model HFK-9219B for taking about a ½ mile loop each morning on asphalted streets in my senior neighborhood. I do not intend to transport it or attempt to use it in the house. I am 6 foot tall, weigh 212 pounds and I am 93 years old. I spent countless hours reading hundreds of reviews and looking at specifications before selecting this model. This model and the UpWalker were the only two that had the features that I wanted. The UpWalker cost more than 3 times the cost of the Elenker. The features that I wanted were 1. Could adjust to my 6 ft. height, 2. Have brakes that actually worked. Many models just skidded 3. Have a seat that could be adjusted to a high height so that I could stand up easier. Highest adjustment is 23 inches. 4. Have a provision to make it easier to get up and over the gutter and the lip into my garage.5. Have arms that aid in getting up from the seat 6. Have a width that makes it possible to sit on the seat without having my shoulders squished together. I read many bad reviews about the Elenker. There are complaints that their package arrived squashed, some parts had paint scrapes, a few had a part missing, the instruction had pictures that were dark and muddy making the instructions worthless, and everybody complained that their complaints fell on deaf ears and consumer service was worthless. I finally decided to take a chance calculating that If I could buy it for $200 and it only lasted a year that amounted to 50 cents a day and it was worth the gamble. (I am really glad that I orders it). The fact that Amazon was the shipper gives me some hope that they might step in and solve the problem should one occur. With that background I had low expectations so let me tell you my experiences. When the package was scheduled to be delivered I was out there prepared to take pictures recording the damage. The box was in very good condition—no damage. When I opened it up and started to take the parts out I was surprised to see that each part was individually wrapped in bubble wrap that had been secured with tape and each part was in pristine condition. They must have completely redone the instruction booklet for the pictures were bright and clear. There was no guessing where anything goes, for example, part labeled C3 would go into bracket also labeled C3. The sales description says that unit had been assembled at the factory before being disassembled and boxed for shipment. This had been met with widespread disbelief in the reviews and I must admit I was among the doubters. No more. When assembled the brakes worked perfectly. No adjustment necessary. To secure the handgrip assembly in place the video reviews show some screw adjustments necessary. Not anymore, just flip the lever and it is secured perfectly. I only needed to consult with the directions for step ten to install the cup holder. There was one small part missing which was a “8” shape and loop strap for securing the top of a cane. I am so blown away by the differences between early production reviews and the near perfect unit that I received. Management must have really listened and responded. I had hoped for 10 inch wheels but the 8 inch wheels are just fine. The brakes work great. And the most pleasant surprise is what they call “the curb climber” It is just a little metal arm mounted just inside each rear wheel. I have found out that it far exceeds my expectations. With the regular rollator that I had been using I had to wrestle to get it up and over the concrete gutter to get back into my driveway and up and over the maybe ½ inch step up in front of the garage door. I have found that, if I stop momentarily, and press on one of the levers with one foot, the front wheels pop up and over the rise every time. My hat is off to who ever thought of this because it is a marvelous invention.I have a few low cost suggestions to make the manufactures excellent product even more customer friendly.1. There are three “position holes” on the frames where each wheel assembly is attached. These holes are about an inch apart. I have read several reviews where shorter customers have complained that the seat is too high or the arm rests are too high. Perhaps they have seen the same videos that I have where you snap the wheel assembly in the bottom hole never realizing that everything can be adjusted down one or two inches just by selecting higher holes. I suggest that you make up a small table with hole 1, hole 2. and hole 3 in the left column, then the corresponding seat height in column 2 and the corresponding arm height adjustment available in column 3. I would make this table the thing that they look at before they make their first assembly step. Doing this would cost you no extra pages since there is a blank space in the bottom of page 122. The instruction have white fonts on light grey or gold background. I find this very hard to read, especially in less than ideal lighting. I suggest plain old black fonts on a white background.3. I find the sit to stand handle bar assembly way to short. I would make it about 5 inches longer.4. I suggest that you add 2 more Velcro straps to secure the brake cables higher up.5. And finally, I strongly suggest that you look at the UpWalker video “UPWalker Unboxing and Setup Guide Video - Version 1” and follow it’s example in making a similar new Elenker video. It is a 25 minute video but only the first 13 minutes is of primary interest.

Buy this one!
Although the instructions were easy to follow, they were not easy to read. The print was very dark and not clear. The box it came in was seriously damaged with parts hanging out, but it was delivered in a larger box that got it here without any damage. The walker itself is very sturdy and well put together. Smooth movement on various floors, easy going over thresholds, and comfortable to stand at or walk with. I’ve bought a few rollators looking for the perfect one only to be out hundreds of dollars. They’re at Goodwill now. This one is for larger people, so it’s wider and takes a little creativity getting it into the car. I have to collapse it and angle it in sideways to get it through the middle door of my Chrysler Pacifica. Overall, it’s a great purchase.

Very sturdy and heavy
This is a very strong and sturdy item, but it is also really heavy, so it might be difficult for a person to load or unload alone. It's quite wide, so that could be an issue in some spaces. It does handle and function very well, and looks great. It has a great amount of storage and a very comfy seat.

Upwalker review
Very sturdy, Very BIG Does not fit in trunk of sedan and barely fits in back seat. But, rolls easy and will be great for exercise walks. Not handy for short trips and a bit tall for 5'2" person. Hoping I can get an additional hole punched in frame to shorten height. Also, it is a little clumsy to walk behind seat. Will be great for sport events etc. For general use I recommend the straight bar and lighter weight. Not planning to return this item but be sure it fits your size and needs. And be sure to check box for all the pieces.

Stand up walker
It's sturdy and easy to assemble. One issue with it though is it's cumbersome. Top handle's you have to screw bolt through in order to adjust instead of push button. It's very heavy so it's hard for me to hold onto it when I fold it up and it's to big too fit in small SUVs easily. I had to remove handles and still had some difficulty. But it is a great walker for sturdiness and easily maneuvers around the house.

Not safe in my situation. Don’t buy if don’t have two arms!
In my case I could not use this walker.Left brake did not work out of the box.Poor design. Rear axle bolt rubs ankle.I found that the design is very sturdy, but only having one arm this walker is not safe for me.

I required this as my balance has been decreasing.
Using a regular walker required me to lean over. I have had 3 back surgeries and 2 bars placed from T8-S1. After the last surgery my balance had been bad. Now that I am 75 it is decreasing. Having a seat is very helpful. I was able to sit in my recliner and follow the instructions and put the walker together myself. Thankyou for the instructions and making them easy to follow. I am very happy that I ordered this, it’s worth the money. Also easy to use.

Missing part, can’t finish assembly
I ordered this on Prime Day, July 17, with a promised delivery date of July 20. Amazon demonstrated multiple delivery delays/failures. As of August 6, 2024, I still do not have a working rollator as a part is missing. Elenker has said they will “reissue” the missing part (how do you reissue something you never delivered the first time?), however they have not provided a delivery date. I am willing to update this review when I finally have a working product.
