Waterproof Large Dog Houses Outdoor Indoor, 44" Wooden Outdoor Dog Houses

I have three Indian Runner Ducks and so I bought the small one since it holds up to 25 pounds. Easy to put together. Yes, it had a few chips but that's normal. There was no major damage. I picked this house because of three reasons: the top opens up for easily egg collection, it had a small window which I can open for air flow and close if to cold, and the floor comes up in two pieces for easy cleaning. Because the floor is like a privacy fence lets good air flow its great during the summer. My ducks can stand really cold weather, they swim in the winter so it works great because ducks need air flow since they build up a lot of moisture but you wouldnt leave any other kind of pet out during the winter because they won't still warm enough. Came with door flap but I don't use it.

Bought this for my tortoise and it works great. It's just the right size and was really easy to build. Installed a heat lamp to keep her warm for the winter. I'm so happy that she now has a safe, warm and dry place to stay out of the weather.

This is a very nice house for the feral cat in our neighborhood. My problem is the hinges for lifting the roof and holding it up are bending and I need replacements. Made of very inferior quality. Can I get them from your company or can you suggest where I can get them. D Timke Porterfield, WI

Saw this and thought perfect for my tortoises because the burrow we built flooded first time it rained. My tortoise love it. Keeps them dry from the rain, away from heating the sun and I’ll keep you posted for in the winter (as I do plan to as insulation for them for the winter along with a thermometer to keep tabs on temp and a camera). But so far, it’s working great as I can lift the top to get to them if need be. And they are happy.

She gets on top too. Update....... The bottom has already broke and she only weighs 19.2 pounds. I'm disappointed

This review is for the small dog house only. I am still waiting to get to return the 2 large dog houses because my dogs need a sturdier dog house. The wood is thinner than anticipated and they will eat through it in a week. The small one is good for our little dog for moderate to warm weather with the open spaced slats, the window conversion, and the lifting lid. However, in the 20 degree and below weather, it will not keep him warm unless we insulate it under it to cover the opening in the floor slats.

First of all, the box came damaged so not sure if that’s the shipper’s problem since it was delivered by FedEx and not Amazon. Secondly, after opening the box and putting it all together we found out the roof (which was the last piece to put on) had a piece of edging that broke off. Third, the hinges that go on the back of the dog house to secure the roof have no holes so you just have to guess where to place them. We had to re-drill the holes a second time because the roof did not align correctly when closed. The wood feels pretty cheap. I’m also annoyed because when I reached out to Amazon for the broken roof all they offered was a replacement, but had to return the broken one. That’s insane! I’m not going to take it apart, carry this giant box to the nearest shipping place and then put it all together again. We were also in a time crunch and needed this dog house ASAP and couldn’t wait another week for a replacement. I thought they’d at least give me some partial refund for the broken piece considering now i’m going to have to fix it, but nope they didn’t. Amazon gave me the option to check out the sellers FAQ but yet no where to reach out to the seller to fix this. All this to say, would not recommend, this is a cheaper option and that’s why I went with it but I regret that. Definitely go with the more expensive ones that you see online.

Love it! Bought this as a second coop for our newer chicks. Just have to get some wood and more hinges to make a secure door. Would be perfect for a dog and I love the shingled wood. It seems high enough off the ground to prevent water and the angle on the roof should be enough for the water to slough off. Super easy to assemble, had a hard time getting the hinges screwed in on the roof with just one person, but it’s doable with one person. I used a drill for ease, and the packages of screws came with 1-2 extra screws which was nice!
