Super easy transaction for a great studio drive
Easy to get up and running fast. So much faster than my old drive so no more delays from Logic!

Manufacturer’s “best practices” make the drive a poor investment
Here are selected elements of Glyph’s “best practice guidelines." TL:DR: Don’t allow the disk or a monitor to sleep. Don’t use screensavers."We do not recommend allowing any external device to be put to sleep or in standby nor be connected to a computer that sleeps. This often leads to File System Corruption/Directory Corruption/Data Corruption which leads to random ejections and not being able to mount the volume and could lead to disk failure."Here are some best practice guidelines that will help for the future use and enjoyment of your Glyphs (NOTE Studio RAID Thunderbolt 2 devices have a slightly different Power Down procedure):…"Sleep and Screensavers:We recommend to set the displays to never go to sleep or into a screensaver mode, set the Hard Disks to Never go to Sleep, and Set the Computer to Never go to Sleep, not allow wake from network access, or wake after power outages."Spotlight Privacy/Windows Indexing:We recommend putting all external devices into the Privacy tab of Spotlight (found in the first row in System Preferences) by opening the Privacy Tab of Spotlight and dragging the external devices icons into the Privacy area or in Windows Systems by deselecting the "Allow drive to be indexed..." in the General Tab of the Properties Menu for the volume. Some apps/programs/interfaces require the volume to be indexed by Spotlight, check with those apps for information."We recommend having three other working copies (not backups) of the data in three other locations."

Great quality, excellent support
Love Glyph's customer service. I'd buy them any day over slicker looking but less well supported devices. 10/10!

Glyph no for Heiros Anymo
It's as good as it's word and that's picaresque.

Very slow as usb. Buy the thinderbolt for 10 times the speed.
I have two of these studio glyph drives. Yesterday i downloded a free app to test the speed. I dont understand the numbers but here is what i can say. My pasport usb drive test around 35-40. What ever that soeed number means. Another usb drive test at 125. My thunderbolt glyph usb drive tests around 350-400. Same brand and kind but has thunderbolt. I stupidly bout this forgetting to check if it had tunderbolt. And it test in the 30-305hooked up with usb. I do like the solid chassy. I just dont like that i boufht the usp. And dont understand how another usb drive can test at 125 and this at 30-35. I am sure there is a logocal reason. And i use an enourmos amount of smalle to run my mysic making softwere for film. About three teribies in samples. So i dont know how to rate it. Because part my fault but part the drive. If you can get thinder bolt do. Its an amazing drive. If you cant get another. I think my drives ate twnsend and passport and sorry dont remeber which one tested so high. One uses a usb to what looks like a android phone charger conection snd the other the kind of usb with two humps. Some computer guy is slapping his head right now at how stupid i sound. I appoligize. Just trying to help.I will buy another drive and sell this one at some point.
