Hair Steamer for Deep Conditioning w/10-level Heats Up Quickly, Heating Cap for Deep Conditioner - Thermal Steam Cap for Black Hair, Great for Hair Treatment (Purple)

I was hesitant this would work. I thought, it’ll get hot in certain spots and not the others, or it won’t heat up at all type of thoughts. Especially after reading some reviews. So I took a chance. I want to leave a very detailed review because that’s what I look for when I want to purchase something and I want to hear every detail. * When I was shampooing I also tried out one of those rechargeable head massagers. Awesome!! Just wanted to make sure my scalp was fully ready for this salon like experience * How long people want this to be it’s pretty damn long for me The court is pretty darn long. I don’t know how long some expected to be but I could definitely sit on my couch and plug this in and use it. And if you plan on walking in the room, then get an extension cord lol but I was able to pace around a little strip of my patio, and I did not feel like it restricted me at all. The back string to make the bonnet tighter is a little tricky, but I find if I tighten it Before I put it on, it works well. It just slides right over my cap that I put on before. I didn’t clip my hair up because I wasn’t sure if the plastic clips would melt or warp and no metal clips for heat reasons. My hair is about 2-3 inches above mid back so I plopped it on my head. I didn’t care if it fell (didn’t fall) I just wanted all hair in there. I started off right at 8 then I thought I’ll up it the top, level 10. After a few minutes, I soon realized that my ears needed to come out. Makes your ears heat up, so I just kind of flipped them outside the cap and readjusted. They look weird sticking out but it’s better than them getting hot . They didn’t burn or anything just hot and made the tops of em red. Level 10 is not extremely hot. I don’t want it to be extremely hot because then I’ll do damage to my hair and my scalp, etc. so level 10 is a good heat choice if you want deep conditioning and if it cold and you want to sit outside or for people with thick or a lot of hair. . I sit outside to do mine , and it’s winter right now so it’s perfect. When it gets warmer, I probably will turn it anywhere from a 4-8 maybe just depending on the temperature outside. I used a clear shower cap underneath. I may try a foil one next. It heats up perfectly even heat distribution all the way around. I set it for half an hour. I didn’t keep track of the time to see 1/2 an hour would be up to make sure the cap actually worked like it was supposed to. It did shut off automatically. Also, no no.drips out of the cap. Like when the moisture starts seeping out and down your neck and forehead? Nope. Nothing. I waited a bit for it to cool down before I removed the cap. I loosened the back strap and it came off without taking my clear cap. Then I let my hair cool for about 5 minutes so my hair would get to room temperature and the hair follicles will close and seal the deal. I used a regular mask. Any one will do. I rinsed my hair and oh my what is this silkiness? My scalp felt invigorated. It’s like the heat with the mask built a shield. I plan on keeping this as long as it’ll have me and use it at least once a week. Try different masks for fun. Some say it stopped working so I’ll update if this happens. Only used it once to fingers crossed! Anyone who is on the fence I say do it. You can always return it if you don’t like it but I absolutely love this from my long, on the thicker side, thick hair.

Love. I returned a cordless bonnet version of this (diff company tho) and bought this one instead. Let me just say, the heat lasts way longer and you can adjust from 30-45-60min timers. I started at level 10 and had to lower to level 6 because it got so hot! It’s easy and simple to use. It looks funny when it’s on, but the quality isn’t bad. It’s insulated with some type of rubbery plastic material and the outside looks like the picture! Also comes with some plastic caps :) and the cord is long enough to move around with, which is a plus. Definitely worth the money and a great recommendation to others with curly hair!

I bought this as a gift for my friend, she enjoys the comfort and efficiency of this product.. Heat level is ok, lightweight, durability is good , easy to use, noise level is better than in the salons, smells great .

Great heat cap. Seems durable and gets hot and has extra long cord so you can walk around and do other things while deep conditioning your locks . Love that feature . Thick material and high quality.

I used this for the first time, and I can honestly say I'm impressed. I wanted to add deep conditioning with heat to my hair care regimen without having to invest in a large, bulky dryer. This little cap does a surprisingly good job. The cap is large enough to fit most people (unless you have long, dense natural hair). It reaches it maximum heat in only a couple of minutes. I found that level 6 was a good spot for me, and even that had me sweating. I love that the inside of the cap can be unzipped and removed for easy cleaning. I didn't even have to wash it before my first use because it was appropriately boxed and had no smell whatsoever. The material is thicker than I expected, which is good because it feels like it should last for quite some time (assuming there are no electrical issues). After 30 minutes under this thing, my hair was uniformly hot and was SO soft. I wish I had added this to my routine sooner. Last, and one of the best qualities about this is how compact it all is. You can easily bring this with you in a suticase or bookbag without adding significant bulk. Overall, it was well worth its cost.

I love that is easy to store. Good quality. And heats perfectly. I love that the cable is long and allows me to move a bit.

Great foldable size. Simple design and very easy to use and clean. I couldn’t wait to use this! FANTASTIC! Anytime you can give yourself a hair salon deep conditioning with a Hair Steamer, WITHOUT the COST $$$ of what a hair salon will charge is a winner! I used this two days after receiving. I set the time for 60 mins. (Timer setting: 30, 45 or 60 min.) Deep mask conditioner w/hair steamer works wonders!!!! Due to dry heat, as well as, hair going through metamorphosis due to menopause, a hair steamer is needed and necessary to keep your “crown” looking healthy! As a person of African descent, our hair needs moisture!!!!! Using a good conditioner and a heat steamer cap will help with hair growth and hair loss/breakage will lessen. I recommend this Hair Steamer!

5/5/2024 Update: SISWOW is a reputable company who values their customers’ satisfaction seriously! Based on my previous review, the company offered a ‘full refund’. I respect companies like SISWOW and am willing to do business with them again! For SISWOW’s reputation, I will give it 1 more star. ========================================================= After reading many reviews of many brands of heat cap, I decided to order a pink one from SISWOW. It is a pastel pink exactly the same color as that shown online. I have used it twice and identified the following pros and cons/concerns: Pros: Temperature Control: I can tolerate higher temperature, so I want to be able to change it as opposed to just the low or high settings. This cap comes with 10 temperature settings and heats up quickly! Preset Timer: 30-, 45-, and 60-minute timer is A plus! First time I chose the 60-minute setting but I stopped it before reaching 60 minutes. Second time I did 45 minutes and it did stop automatically once the time was up. Low Maintenance: Unzip the zipper to separate the lining from the cap and wipe it with a warm damp cloth if needed. If you wear a shower cap before putting on the cap, there is very little maintenance needed. Ease of Use: You can put on the cap in less than a minute and it heats up quickly. Then it’s the time to relax and enjoy yourself by reading a book, watching a video, or listening to music! Cons/Concerns: Silicone Lining: With the scares of PFAs, forever chemicals, which are found in many products we use daily such as plastic bags. Based on the product description of this pink heat cap, it is using silicone. I am not sure if it is truly silicone and I don’t have a way to verify it! While the black and the purple heat caps sold by this company are using plastic, I seriously doubt the pink cap is using silicone. This is my greatest concern! Price: It is at the high end of all brands of heat caps. I went with it primarily because of its silicone material. If the material turns out to be plastic, then I believe it is over priced! Storage Sack: It is smaller than the cap, so I have to fold the sides of the cap towards the middle and then push it into the sack. However, the instructions say ‘Never fold or crush the cap when storing it.’ They should have provided a bigger sack. All in all if the company can provide me with a proof of ‘silicone’ material, I would be more confident to use this cap regularly.

Love this heat cap. What differentiates it from the last one I has is the cord is a good length, the first one I had the cord was 1/2 as long. The string to tighten the cap is thick, strong and easy to grasp. The other was probably 1/3 as thick so it was very hard to tighten once on. The included plastic shower caps make it easier to get your hair all trapped so you just slip on the cap and tighten. I like the timer feature and the 10 heat settings. It does get hot, 10 is too much for me where other product's 10 level heat usually leaves me wanting more.

Excellent product. So much better than my old, ill-fitting and limited steam cap. This has a great range of temperature settings and the shape and drawstring feature ensures even heat. It’s so comfortable and doesn’t burn my ears. It’s perfect for salon type treatments at home. My hair and scalp are very happy.
