At first there is no particular sensation but once you lather the shampoo onto the scalp, there is an almost mint-like, cooling sensation to the scalp. I massaged for a couple of minutes just to make sure it was making contact with all parts of my scalp (since I have occasional dandruff). I did not follow-up with a conditioner just to see how this would impact my hair naturally. Once my hair was a little drier, I noticed it was seriously lacking in moisture so I ended up putting in some leave-in conditioner which helped my hair not feel so dry (this may also be because my hair is color-treated). So my takeaway is that you must use a conditioner afterwards. My scalp feels nice and clean two days since my last shampoo. I'm not noticing any obvious signs of dandruff. So overall I would recommend the product but please note this is a small quantity for a rather large price tag. It smells good and has a thicker Consistency; so, a small Amount is enough. It’s easy to apply but wouldn’t lather up at first until I started to wash my Hair first with my regular Shampoo and then applied a small Amount of this Manuka Honey Relief Shampoo. After leaving it in for a few Minutes, I wash it off with Ease.
