Love these wooden kits by ROKR. This isn't my first kit; previous ones included the record player and the wind-up train. This one was a fun build and not too tricky; I think this would work well as a first kit. Didn't break anything and the action runs smoothly. The cartridges don't eject, but I realized that's because I built the drum incorrectly (check each step's orientation carefully). This model's action is based on pieces sliding past each other using spring-loaded mechanisms, which I find was easier to get running smoothly than the gear-based models I've built. Like other kits with moving parts, use plenty of wax; you can't use too much. They tell you to wax certain moving parts, but it helps to wax the surfaces those parts move on as well. Sand the burrs on the edges of punched out pieces as well for a nicer finish. One last thing I'll note: compared to other kits, this one seemed to have a lot of small, densely-packed parts on thin boards. I sometimes had to gently sacrifice some of the board around the pieces when punching them out.

Awsome project. Very relaxing to build challenging but not difficult. The company waa great to work with. I found i had a missing piece. I contacted them they responded less then 24 hours later. I had the missing piece in a timely fashion. Great display item. Working on my next build right away. The three piece marble run.

Awesome, awesome so cool

This product is very cool and intricate. It is a beautiful piece and something our 8 year old was thrilled to be able to help build albeit with a lot of help from mom and dad. It is quite complex with tons of tiny little pieces. It was greatly appreciated that 90% of the pieces were individually labeled, but it would have been even better if all pieces were. The rapid fire function is also not working, though it perfectly shoots 1 Elastic at a time. Our son loves it and we will most certainly buy more!

Great adult motivator. This is the 3rd product I have ordered for my co worker's Christmas present. The puzzles have been a great hit for his entire adult family. It is enjoyed, fun, more on an adult level, They are not thin cardboard, but strong wood to last and look beautiful when completed.

My son is 10 years old and assembled this all by himself. Unfortunately, the mechanism inside the shaft scrapes the inside of the barrel. As a result, the release doesn’t work and so the rubber band doesn’t fire. In total, it probably took him 6 hours to build. The gun is beautiful and looks cool but he is disappointed that it doesn’t actually work.

Purchased the Submachine gun, intended as a gift. Within an hour, I couldn't resist the temptation and opened the box. About five hours later, I was dumping shells like it was Valentine's Day. A riot broke out in the den with everyone fighting to try it out next. Already have another order en route and plan to have an arsenal built by the end of the month. Incredibly easy to build. Well drawn directions with the more detailed steps supported with YouTube videos. The parts labels were excellent, the measured illustrations for springs and screws made this the easiest model build I've ever completed. I'd go so far to say the build guide here is better than exploded views from real manufacturers. Rarely did a piece require any sanding or smoothing. Not a children's play toy but an excellent choice for your inner child. I would expect all ROKR puzzles to be of similar quality and provide hours of entertainment.

Pretty cool looking once completed. Kind of challenging, perfect for teens and adults. Sturdy and is just as advertised.

This does take around 6hours to complete, but the effort is worth it. The styling are super cool and makes a great prop for cosplay/Halloween. The fully-automatic firing system works surprisingly well, I've heard other people complain, but it works completely fine for me. Only issue I had was the magazine, some of the pieces sorta get shifted out of place cause it is thin wood, and aliging some pieces is really difficult. I recommend using your screwdriver and shift the pieces into place if something isn't working. One complaint is that some pieces are unnecessary. There are a few pieces where you pop out a hole, only to fill it again with another piece of the same grain colour. As well some of these pieces aren't visible, so they just add complexity without added functionality or aesthetics. Though there isn't many that do this, it is a weird thing that I've come across a hand ful of times (Like probably 5 pieces) Overall, get this. It is fun, you make something functional, looks sick for all ages (especially adults I think), and it aesthetics laser ingraving adds flare that other brands don't have.

My grandson really enjoyed doing it but disappointed because once done it wasn’t working. So they took it apart with his dad and grandfather and rebuilt it and still not working. They it’s the spring in it that wasn’t good. He has it displayed in is bedroom.

The kids love it ! A good challenge
