Easy to assemble, holds 20 inch planer
Recently purchased a grizzly g1033 20 inch planer which I think weighs about 850 lbs with the upgrades I have. Considering this base is rated for 1200 lbs, I thought this would be nice. It is super easy to put together with the installation instructions. Once I got the planer on the base, it was very easy to move. I have no thoughts of failure with this base and it works as expected.

Keeps everything plumb, level and square
Rigid frame keeps the cabinet, plumb, level and square. I built a flip top cabinet for my DeWalt DW735 planer and Powermatic mortiser. Total weight is 200+ pounds. The Shop Fox Mobile Base keeps the cabinet plumb, level and square even though my shop floor is anything but flat and level. The mobile base keeps the infeed/outfeed tables aligned with the cabinet. The locking feet keep the cabinet steady whether you are planing stock or mortising. The cabinet base adjusts to fit the cabinet. I have a constrained shop and need to minimize footprint. This mobile base does that. Two fixed wheels mean you have to swing the cabinet back and forth to get it to and from storage to work lane. The wheels do a great of making it easy to maneuver. Everything feels solid when manuevering. I highly recommend this mobile base.

Model D4666 is an excellent and well made mobile base.
The Shop Fox D4666 is a great mobile base for heavier machines. I would down rate any base so that it carries no more than 70% of its rated capacity, they will all perform much better with less load. The foot petals are metal and much better than the units sold that have plastic levers. I don't think you will find a better base for the price. I also purchased a D2260A for a smaller machine, it's a good choice as well but has no foot levers, the assembly is also more complicated relative to the wheels than it needs to be. I would give this model four stars since you need to hand crank each lever to raise it off the floor. While I'm doing this brief review I will also mention I have a 52" Sawstop ICS table saw with the router insert to the right. I purchased the Sawstop mobile base for that and would not recommend any other base, it's the only base that is both effortless and will lift the heavy cast Iron in line router at the same time. Expensive but worth it.

I want another one for my other tools.
This thing totally changed the process of rolling my tables saw out of the garage, compared to my homemade dolly. The wheels roll effortlessly and it is very stable. The brake works well and is definitely needed. Plus, it lowered the height of my saw about 2.5 inches which is probably the biggest benefit. It was easy to assemble except for the defective wheel mentioned below. I gave it 4 because the finish is easily chipped, and one of the wheel housings was bent and required some work before that wheel would roll properly.

Heavy duty and very easy to use
I don't often leave product reviews, but this is so good that I wanted to leave one so others wouldn't hesitate to buy it. I bought this to put a 675 pound Delta table saw on. I also bought the extension so the entire saw would be supported. Other than one minor hiccup on the first try that was my fault (see TIP below), this thing is fantastic. The table saw is extremely stable and very easy to push. While you can still tell that you're moving a heavy saw, there is no strain involved. This saw belonged to my father at one time and he was amazed at how easy it is to move the saw around. I could not be any happier with this purchase. I had thought about building something but nothing that I built would have been as stable and easy to use, and would have cost me a lot more in time and money. TIPS: If you are moving this over uneven concrete, you will want to screw the adjustable feet all the way up before moving it as they can rub the ground. When I get it to where I want it, I screw them down until they're touching the concrete and then push the locking mechanism to raise it. It won't go anywhere after that.

Another OUTSTANDING Shop Fox product!
The D4666 Extreme Duty Mobile Base was relatively easy to assemble and had all the hardware and instructions in the box...nothing missing! Very sturdy, well built, designed, and heavy weight. The base has been under my band saw for a few days now and realize I need to re-adjust the height of the casters...due to my error. The band saw can be moved around my shop very easily and locks down with a light press of the caster brake. I did cut the side rails to the same dimensions as my saw base so I had a smaller foot print on my shop floor. Yes...I would/will purchase another Shop Fox D4666 Extreme Duty Mobile Base for any future tools I will procure! Kind Regards...Michael Eubank
