I have coveted a potato masher for years and years, and finally decided to see what all the fuss was about. This works great! Who knew how easy it was to make great mashed potatoes - I guess what they say is true - the right tool makes all the difference. So far this is holding up well, is relatively easy to use, easy to clean, and dishwasher safe. It is a bit on the larger size, which could be a factor for storage, but even with my arthritis I was able to fill it and use it without too much struggle.

I am the mashed potato queen. Pretty much any time we have a formal meal where potatoes will be served, I'm in charge of making them. This will streamline the process for me and I am excited to use this to make a full batch. So far, I just mashed some into a bowl for myself. It was very easy. Just boil the potatoes and pop them in the ricer here and you've got some very nice, fluffy potatoes. This gadget is sure to get lots of use in my kitchen. It was easy to clean and I think it will stand the rest of time. I love that this can go in the dishwasher. That really does make cleanup a breeze. It's easier to mash the potatoes when they're cut into smaller pieces. Mashes int9 fine strings but always leaves a think layer of potato to be scraped off of inside bottom that won't mash into strings.

I haven't used it yet but it looks like it'll take a lot less effort to mash the Christmas potatoes.

It worked great for 4-5 rounds of mashed potatoes. Then on the 5th the arm that swivels to mash the potatoes through the holes warped. So it couldn't push the potatoes through anymore. I think my potatoes were a sufficient softness. Bummer cause it worked great for a few tries.

It was pretty but that’s about it. Attempted to utilize for the first time last night and it was crap, 3 days after the return window ended (go figure!) The ricer didn’t break all the way through but also didn’t rice the potatoes seeing it was teetering on breaking in half while attempting to rice super soft boiled potatoes. I wasn’t able to get through one potato! I ended up having to mash 10 lbs of soft boiled potatoes by hand with a medium sized kitchen fork. Highly pissed is an understatement.
