Sealey Ak693 Socket Set 32Pc 1/2Sq Drive 6Pt Walldrive - Duometric

This socket set has been invaluable for maintenance on my classic car, so has been in constant use since purchase. The ratchet is precise and solid and the sockets sturdy and able to cope with even the most seized nut on the car. The extension bars and universal joint are all of equal high quality. The only slight negative with this set is the small selection of imperial sized sockets but this didn't bother me too much as I already have an imperial socket set with a broken ratchet! I am very impressed with this set and the price is fantastic for a set of this quality.

Bought this set to replace a tired Taskmaster set I bought almost 30 years ago. This is ideal for small jobs, the connections feel secure and the tools feel robust enough that hopefully I get another 30 years use out of this set. No unnecessary bits, just a good choice of sockets and hand tools.

Love it. Sturdy components in a metal case. Good selection of imperial and metric size sockets. Some nice accessories such as extension bars and flexible connectors. It's so nice to find a socket set that has just sockets and isn't packed out with useless 'fluff' such as pointless screwdriver bits that fall out every time you open the case.

This is a good set for the money. I bought it to split down and fill some space in my roll cab, I needed a full set of 1/2" 6 point sockets and it was basically the same price for this kit as it was to buy just the sockets on their own. I've been using Sealey sockets for years and find them to be very good for the money. The ratchet has a smooth action and the breaker bar will take a severe leaning on rather well given its size. I haven't managed to bend it yet. I'll keep trying though. The included extensions are similarly well made and the metal storage case is nicely made and makes a nice change from the usual blow moulded plastic. It was almost a shame to split the set up and I was quite tempted to leave the bits and pieces in the tin. There are a couple of non metric sockets included that I haven't yet found a use for, perhaps they will find a purpose in the future. What I liked about this set is that although there are some af sockets, it's only a couple. A lot of sets that combine metric and fractional seem to have a full compliment of both. Great if that's what you need but the majority of us will only ever need metric so you end up paying for half a tool kit that you'll never use! (Halfords, I'm looking at you...) Overall this is a good value set, sure they're are better sets and sure there are cheaper sets but these seem to be a good balance between cost and quality. They offer the best thing that a tool can offer which is value for money

Fantastic socket set, use it all the time, well made, strong steel case, best selection of imperial and metric sizes, love the flexy extension bar, that is far superior than I imagined. Fail to see how anyone could be disappointed with this, if not used with the force needed of a 3/8" drive set

Bought this 1/4" ratchet for working on guitars, it gives a good mix of metric and imperial sizes. This would also be useful for smaller, fiddly jobs on cars also. Pretty comprehensive set for the money, love the tin box!

Good quality feel in your hands and well finished. Ratchet has a positive click and the sound of robustness, with what seems like a fine step. I particularly like that Sealey used the classic style all-steel handle rather than going part-plastic, or sheathing in bulky rubber. The set feels like it will last. Very pleased to the point my 3/8" set will also be Sealey Premier.

A well made and complete set in a metal case, very satisfied.
