Better than expected
Works better than I expected it to for checking DC hydraulic solenoid valves. It is a little tight getting the cap off to swap batteries, but nothing you can't handle with a little flathead screwdriver. The light on this is useless though, but that's not what you're buying this for.

Magnet detector not voltage detector
Excellent magnet detector it helps me to trouble shoot solenoids, for people who doesnโt know this is not a voltage detector.

Don't waste your money
Poor quality all around. Package a pain to open, battery compartment opening very difficult to figure out and, oh yeah, it does NOT detect any magnetic fields. Poor value, does not function, difficult to use. Flashlight works ok, but doesn't stay on unless you keep your finger on the button.

Handy tool.
Very neat tool to have in your tool box. I recently just used it to see if my ignition coil was working. It was I had a bad spark plug. Awesome for diagnosis.
