Cherry wood good.
Excellent clean-burning cherry wood chunks – great flavour and perfect for my Kamado Joe. I’ve been using these cherry wood chunks for adding flavour to my bbq meats with great success. The wood is clean, and completely dry, which means it lights easily and produces a consistent, clean smoke. Cherry imparts a wonderful mild, sweet, and fruity smoke that's not overpowering. I mix 3 or 4 of these chunks in with my charcoal for low-and-slow cooks, normal roasts, and even hot grills, and the results are always fantastic. The box is generous (7-9kg in 25 litres), and a little goes a long way. The pieces vary in size – some are fist-sized, others a bit larger – so I keep a small axe handy to chop the bigger ones down for better fit and even burning. No big deal, and totally worth it.Overall, high-quality natural wood at a great price. Very good product – would definitely buy again and look forward to using others in the range, Recommend

Fantastic!!!
After being let down by my local supplier recently, I decided to take a gamble and order this cherry wood online. I am absolutely over the moon with what arrived. A few things that really stand out: Impressive Chunk Size: Unlike the "chips" or tiny scraps I’ve received elsewhere, these are substantial, hearty chunks. They provide a nice, consistent blue smoke and don't just burn up in five minutes. The Packaging: It actually comes in a sturdy, well-presented box. This makes a huge difference for storage in the garage; no flimsy plastic bags tearing and spilling wood everywhere. Variety of Flavours: I went with the cherry this time, but the range of different wood flavours this seller offers is fantastic. It’s great to have a "one-stop shop" for apple, hickory, or oak depending on what I’m throwing on the smoker. The cherry gives a beautiful, sweet profile and a deep mahogany color to the meat. If you’ve been disappointed by thin, inconsistent wood in the past, do yourself a favor and switch to these guys. I'll definitely be back for more.

Good but…
Decent, got a good flavour on my ribs. Dry enough for using in an offset. Few things stopping it being 5 stars. Lots of bark on the chunks. Yes trees have bark, but for smoking meat, not ideal, as dirty smoke (grey) came off the wood, doesn’t necessarily give a clean burn. A 7-9kg box only just about lasted a 6 hour smoke. So burn time was, ok at best.

Low & Slow BBQ Wood Review
I BBQ regularly using either a Pro Q bullet smoker or a Masterbuilt gravity fed smoker. I’ve ordered from this seller twice now and both times the wood has been excellent. This time I ordered cherry. There are mostly really positive reviews for this company but for whatever reason some of the more negative ones appear near the top so I felt compelled to write this for some balance and hopefully to give some pointers if you’re deciding what wood chunks to buy. Let’s start with what you get from the big high street brand of chunks you’ll find in decent garden centres. Their bags of wood chunks are about £10 for 1.5kg. The chunks are fairly uniform and fit in the palm of your hand. They’re great, ready to use, and only marginally more expensive than gold. They’ve also been shipped from the USA, so if you care about cost or the environment, they’re not a great choice. By comparison, these wood chunks equate to £10 for 4.5kg, so you get three times as much for your money. You also get locally grown sustainable wood, if that’s important to you. As is the case with every quality local supplier I’ve found, the compromise, if it is one - I personally think it’s part of BBQ, is that you have a little more to do before using them. When I say a little, it’s a 30 second job. The chunks will be fist size, maybe bigger. To get good results, assuming you’re using them a couple of chunks at a time with charcoal as most do, you really want to break them down into the kind of sizes that big brand sells. You can use an axe if you have one, but I sit them on the floor and give them a tap with a garden spade. They split really easily and you’ll get 3 or 4 pieces from each chunk. You’re much better off adding a few smaller pieces over the duration of your cook than having one large one sit smouldering the whole time - that’s when you can get that acrid over smoked taste. Smaller chunks will burn at the right rate and create light blue smoke - the truck is you want to hardly be able to see it, I’d you’ve put a couple of small chunks on, you know they’re burning, but you can only see a faint bit of smoke - that’s perfect. If you have big white plumes of smoke surrounding your ribs or brisket and leaking from your smoker, your food taste like you’ve just pulled it out of a house fire, regardless of what wood you’re using. I hope these suggestions help - in my experience these guys supply a great product, you just need to make sure you use it right.

Unfortunately I found I could not eat the burgers and sausage as the taste was too incense from the wood!
