Q: It says not to tumble dry. How do you dry it then?

Well I did tumble dry mine (cotton version) and had no problems. When I received the cover, I was going to use it right out of the box. However, it had a factory smell to it, like any new linens usually do, so I decided to wash it right away. Unfortunately, I could not find care instructions included like with the blanket so I decided to treat it just like my bed sheets (it turned out the instructions had fallen out of the shipping bag and I found them afterwards). The cover came out fine. After I found the instructions, I noted that they say "The removable cover can be machine wash and dry as easy as most loundry" (literally). Since I launder and tumble dry my sheets as regular laundry, I take this to mean the duvet cover does not need special treatment. So after all that, it still fit fine and the smell was gone. I checked the website later and it says it is pre-shrunk so perhaps that is why it was fine. I used it for the first time two nights ago and had no problems at all with

It is not velvet. But a polyester cotton blend. I suggest you go to a local "Bed, Bath & Beyond" or a similar type store and pick one out.
