A very handy and functional tool. Cordless for convenience. Includes exactly the two blade sizes I need... one suitable for panfish and one for larger fish. The supplied blades were extremely sharp. As others have mentioned, they are a little fidgety to install, but it's really no big deal. They stay put. The included case is very nice! It's quite slim (think of the form factor as being like a large book -- see photo) and there is room inside for doing some custom work to make slots for additional blades if you desire. The fact that it will reportedly accept blades from other brands is a plus, if accurate. The battery has the capacity to very easily handle as many panfish as I usually clean at once (10-15). The battery has a cool "fuel gauge" to read out the current charge level and a nice A/C-powered battery charger is included. I haven't used it enough to comment on blade edge retention, but I can easily sharpen that type of serrated blade with a small triangular stone, so it's not a concern to me. The build quality looks and feels very good and the ergonomics are excellent. The only drawback --and it's a minor one-- of an electric filet knife is that the handle is much larger in diameter than a normal filet knife and the blade is a little less flexible, so it's necessary to set up your fillet board next to the edge of the counter or table or raise it up on a block so you can get the knife horizontal to your work. I know that some folks like to keep a traditional filet knife handy for taking the skin off the fillets, but I don't find that necessary. I'm happy with this KastKing knife and think it's a good value, like their other products. I've been debating buying an electric fillet knife for years and I'm glad I finally got one.

Well worth the price. I've had it a year and a half now with no issues. Rips thru catfish with ease. Battey is strong and last thru a couple of cleanings. I keep mine charged after every cleaning and it's ready for next time. You won't be disappointed with this knife.

Really like the knife! Love the finger guard! It seems to have plenty of power. Two sizes of blades are a must and they are pretty damn sharp, I appreciate that! The soft case is nice but I would prefer a hard shell case. Love the flexibility of cordless! Construction appears to be pretty solid. Haven't yet used it on a fish but will be testing soon. I will update at that time. Overall pretty awesome product. 4 stars for the preference for a hardshell case.

I have had a few rechargeable filet knives in the past that and they generally tend to be pretty heavy, but this one is much lighter. Balance is important as rechargeable knives are, in general, longer and more unwieldy than a 'manual' filet knife. This knife is very well balanced! The blade guard is well designed. I'm hoping that one battery will be enough, but additional batteries are available, if needed. The case is very stream-lined and the foam cut outs for the knife parts are well designed and obvious. Overall, this is a very nice knife at an excellent price! Kastking does it again!

I filet a lot of fish and the bigger they are the harder it is to cut through the rib cage but with this knife which comes with two different blade withs, one wide and one extra skinny this is no longer a problem, it sliced right through with no problem. The other thing it offers is that it's cordless which makes so simple when outdoors or camping, I only used it twice so far and still waiting to see how durable the battery is and the longevity it has. As far as the value for the money it seems to be very good in my opinion.

I recently purchased this knife to replace an electric corded one that was getting beyond it's life. Last week fishing the Lake of the Woods in MN, I had a chance to try it out on bunch of walleyes. I was not impressed. It seems the blades were not sharp - I tried both blades, and neither cut very well at all! My old one was much better! I like the handle, feel, and ergonomics - but it just didn't cut - which is the main reason for buying a new knife! Not sure if I can return it, but I should have bought the similar Rapala!

This cordless filet knife is great! It's easy to handle and well balanced. Both sets of blades were very sharp, and as long as they’re lined up correctly, locking them into the handle was easy. I love that the battery has a charge indicator and a charger is included. It comes with a case with nice cut compartments and extra room to customize. Easy to store the knife and take on the next fishing trip!
