Good Ole Time Honored Sauce
Need to perk up your hot dogs? Make slaw dogs. Sit your plain old hot dogs in buns In front of you. Top it with this sauce heated up. Add shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion and creamy Cole slaw (cabbage salad). Serve with fries or chips. It's messy so use a knife & fork and plenty of napkins! Enjoy!

Classic Chili Dogs
I sold chili dogs as a teenager working for 40 cents an hour at a drive-in burger joint back in the 60's. Castleberrys was the chili we used on our chili dogs in that era, and it is still the brand I choose when I want an authentic chili dog. I do note that the present day product is much more watery than the product from the 60's that I remember, but I just boil out that extra water and get it back to the consistency that I remember. I'll also just mention that it is a chili dog sauce for pouring over chili dogs. The dog provides the meat. This is the sauce, and it is primarily bean based. Thank you Amazon for providing a way to order products that local stores and chains just won't stock anymore. - Unfortunately, the major grocery chains here (Kroger, Walmart Supercenter, etc) have dropped a lot of high quality products from major name brand manufacturers, and use the shelf space instead to house their store brands. - And we consumers are left with a much smaller selection of high quality major name brand products to choose from as a result.

Best hot dog chi
Great price for amount of product and this is the only chili I use for my chili dogs. Also arrived really quickly!

A favorite from my past
I grew up with this hotdog sauce so of course I'm attached to it. I'm sure it wouldn't please everyone. I order this 6-pack every spring so I enjoy my version of a traditional chili dog over the summer. They don't sell it around here so I have to pay a premium but it's a small price to pay for the enjoyment I get out of it.
