Is all stainless steel safe for kids? What sets Ahimsa apart?

Unlike other brands, Ahimsa uses quality food-safe 304 18/8 steel and is MADE SAFE certified, rigorously tested to be free of lead, toxins, and mystery metals. Ahimsa uses a manufacturing process proven safe for kids and trusted by pediatricians.

Where do Ahimsa's fun colors come from?

We use a method called Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), which is free of harmful chemicals and safe enough to be used in medical implants. This is non-toxic.

Where are Ahimsa products made?

Our products are designed in the USA and made in India. Our products are tested in a US Consumer Product Safety Council (CPSC)-certified lab.

How does Ahimsa ensure its stainless steel is safe for children?

Ahimsa’s stainless steel is third-party tested to meet global safety standards—including strict European guidelines. We created our own higher standard to go beyond FDA requirements and ensure true peace of mind for parents.

Why should I use stainless steel instead of plastic, silicone, bamboo or ceramic?

Plastic, melamine, silicone, bamboo, and ceramic can break down or leach over time. Stainless steel is durable, non-toxic, and built to grow with your child—making it a safer, more sustainable choice for growing kids and everyday family use.
