Absolutely love this umbrella. Purchased this two years ago and now I am buying another for my mom. I was able to test this umbrella pretty well on a trip to the UK. During the trip, this umbrella performed spectacularly during particularly high winds. When facing the wind head on, the umbrella did not invert at all but rather expanded the slightest to take it in. On another gusty day, the umbrella inverted ever so slightly but reverted back immediately. I still use this umbrella to this day. It is also great under very sunny and hot California days. A very versatile umbrella that can be used in many environments. The umbrella itself is pretty light and not too big when collapsed. I always keep it on the side of my backpack. Love how well the open and close button works. It works great to this day after two whole years, a true testament of its durability. The only thing is, you do have to push the umbrella back down to open it up again.

We were preparing for a trip to our nation's capital; Washington, DC and as the forecast was for a lot of rain we started looking for the numerous cheap disposable umbrellas we had collected over the years. As most were broken or hard to open and close we decided to order 2 new ones from Walmart, they arrived and one was very difficult to open and the other wouldn't open at all. So, we started looking again and my brilliant wife found Tumella on Amazon, we ordered one thinking that we only needed one and I'd make something else work. The Tumella arrived and we liked it so much we immediately ordered another one so now we are a proud Two Tumella household. We love the product and while the lifetime replacement is a comfort, the umbrellas are so well made that I doubt many ever have to ask for a replacement. It rained several days while we were in Washington, DC but the Tumellas worked flawlessly; they are the perfect size while open and they close to a very compact and easy to carry/store size. They are so easy to operate with only one hand open and one hand close operation; brilliant!! Skip the other junk umbrellas and go to the best...Tumella!!

First and foremost the customer service after purchase is amazing. I would purchase this item without hesitation. Living in an urban environment, we walk everywhere so when it's rainy, it's important to have a good umbrella that can withstand wind and protects well. I researched for a long time and selected this one for both its unique design as well as its warranty claim. When it came, I was impressed with its build quality. It was very study yet easy to operated. I especially liked the button closure, though it was a little difficult to fully close for my children. It repels rain well, especially with the 2-tier design and I haven't had any issues with it flipping inside out. When collapsed, it's small and light enough, especially for the strong materials. I had an issue with one of the spokes coming undone which prevented the umbrella from closing properly and reached out to their customer service who very promply made good on the lifetime warranty. I was pleasantly surprised with that since you never know how that can turn out and am pleased to report that it is 100% true! Overall, I am very pleased with this umbrella and would happily recommend it to anyone else!

Stopped working after 2nd use. Doesnt retract fully and won't stay opened even when trying manually.<(obsolete) EDIT: The orignal product I recieved was faulty, maybe damaged in shipping or it skipped QC. I was sent a new product within days of citing a complaint. Literally overnight shipped, which was great because I'm in the heavy rainy season and was almost tempted to buy another, but glad I waited a day. This umbrella is truly phenomenal, I do like the breather flaps on top that allow winds to pass through rather than creating upward currents/draffs, which would turn the umbrella inside out. Will buy for friends and would like to change my rating to 5-stars but can't some reason. May have to delete this review and put a fresh one up. Thank you for your phenomenal customer support, I'll recommend you to everyone. (I'll send updates and pics in the future) ***Well an update a day later, it does NOT hold up to any wind at all. It's not broken, but instantly flipped inside out from a random gust of wind during a quick little rain snap. Smallest gust and it flipped. I just let and arm get wet while I held it down but eventually gave up and ran back inside(was trying to save all the kitties outside because they aren't smart enough to run for shelter yet). Still happy with the purchase for the price. Most people don't have umbrellas so I'm still happy with the purchase. Not sure what the 100+mph guarantee means. Maybe those wind speeds cant break it but it will turn inside out, idk...

In August 2024, I purchased a Tumella umbrella(TU)—the one with the tropical scenery. Since, it has been the constant companion that lives in my handbags. You see, I live in South Florida, and throughout the year, we get lots of rainshowers and thunderstorms.🌦⛈️🌧 2 weeks ago, I opened my TU but it wouldn't stay open. I put it over my head anyway, and got drenched in a matter of seconds. Then, it wouldn't close.👿🤬 That's when I decided to reach out to the manufacturer. Gen, my contact, quickly sent me a replacement. Wow!👏🏾👏🏾 (Just in time, too. My nephew and I were saved from looking like wet noodles 2 days after I received it). Thank you, Gen.🙏🏾🙏🏾 You saved the day. I simply loooooove Tumella umbrellas.💕💕💕 They are pretty, sturdy, and easy to manage. Made of a wind-defying hybrid frame, the ribs bend without snapping, and they don't rattle or wobble. The vented canopy allows wind to pass through my TU so winds don't rip it out of my hands. Moreover, the open-and-close mechanism feels smooth and deliberate, not violent. Oh, and most importantly, they keep me dry and they dry off quickly afterwards. What more can I say? I loooooove my Tumella umbrellas.❣️❣️❣️☔️☔️❣️❣️❣️ So, don't wait; get yours now! You won't regret it.😉

This appears to be a really well built umbrella and so easy to use! It's lightweight and compact, weighing just 13.7 oz on my food scale and about 11.5 inches long. Besides having strong fiberglass ribs and the additional cavern needed to keep it from breaking during heavy winds, it has a push button open AND a push button close. By that I mean that you can automatically close the ribs with a button, although then you must push the umbrella part down to the handled by yourself. In addition, it comes in a matching color cover and a plastic carrying case. Inside is a letter from the inventor herself who personally guarantees the product for life, saying, "If it ever falls short, simply drop me a message at [email protected] and I'll send you one for free." She's from Amsterdam where she says it rains all the time, so I assume it is waterproof or water resistannt. This is an excellent buy and about $10 cheaper than the umbrellas that are supposed to be top quality.

Closes well. This is made to last forever! Very durable and not flimsy. This will come in handy for the windy and rainy days. Takes up little space when not needed. So pleased I bought this! Recommend highly if you are tired of umbrellas breaking...you need this one.

This product is very good and I will recommend it.

The umbrella looks nice, feels well built, and easy to use. Have used in sunny, windy, and rainy conditions - does a good job. A tiny amount of water gets through the wind vents under extremely heavy rain, but this can be mitigated by holding the umbrella at a steady angle. So far it's a reasonable compromise considering how well it's holding up during heavy rain and wind.

The umbrella is of a high quality, extremely well made and sturdy with a choice of unique designs. It is a bit bigger and heavier than your average umbrella, but is still compact enough to easily carry in a rucksack/bag. So far has been tested in heavy rain and windy conditions and it hasn’t let me down yet, would recommend

A great little brolly, which can stand up to the Edinburgh winds, which come from any direction. It is also stylish and fun and when its a horrible day you can just imagine yourself lying on the beach in the picture. There customer service is great as well, if you ever need to contact them.

This is huge and heavy. I wanted a very small, lightweight umbrella so had to return it. Picture shows a small umbrella next to it for comparison.
