I'd eaten chicory in protein bars and other foods, but never had it as a beverage. I rather liked it and decided to start buying some to make at home.As with coffee I make at home, instant is important to me. I found this and also another brand that uses a tea bag system. However, the tea bags have to steep for 5-7 minutes while this Straight From France product is really instant, in that it dissolves once hot water is poured over it.This is therefore very easy to prepare. I scoop some into a cup, add some date syrup, and pour boiling water over it. Then I add some milk. If I want some caffeine, I add a small amount of instant coffee.By itself, this product does have a slightly more bitter taste than instant coffee. But if you are okay with adding a little bit of sweetener, all of that gets neutralized. Then it is very pleasant-tasting. I also like this because it does not bother my stomach.
