Product Description After stumbling across a romantic message in a bottle, the beautiful Bu (Shu Qi) travels all the way from Taiwan to Hong Kong to track down the sender. Potential suspects include Albert (Tony Leung) and businessman Chan (Jackie Chan), but matters become more complicated when Bu's boyfriend follows her to the city. Meanwhile, Chan's corporate rival, eager to cause trouble, releases a martial arts expert into the mix. desertcart.co.uk Review In between the Hollywood productions Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon, Hong Kong's most popular export, Jackie Chan, returned home to indulge his romantic side in this modern fairy tale. He plays a modern Prince Charming, a big business mogul and notoriously eligible big-city bachelor to dreamy teenager Shu Qi, a girl from a Taiwan fishing village. When a heartbreaking message in a bottle washes ashore, she traces it back to Hong Kong, where she meets Jackie in the midst of a mid-ocean brawl on a luxury yacht. Hong Kong heartthrob Tony Leung has a grand time spoofing his image, playing a gay fashion photographer who "adopts" Shu Qi and helps her woo her handsome dream lover. It's a pleasant change to see 40-plus Jackie discard his usual goofy lovesick fool to play a suave swinger, but next to giggly teen Shu Qi, who proves to be a spunky and winning actress, he seems a little too mature. There are still plenty of opportunities to see Jackie in acrobatic action with a subplot involving a boyhood friend turned shady business rival, but at heart it's a sweet, silly little love song full of unabashed romantic imagery, elegant art design, snazzy fashions and a gooey happy ending. Jackie doesn't provide his own voice in the English dubbed edition, which makes a minor dent in his charm but does little to affect the film as a whole. --Sean Axmaker, desertcart.com Review: Fun filled jackie chan film - Film relirs on message in a bottle theme, though jackie chan is a plastics and paper recycling ♻️ firm owner who finds love when a mystery woman shows up claiming to be a mob daughter who has gone missing. Childhood memories
So I have always loved Jackie chan and enjoyed his movies, I don't own a collection of them but this definitely has to be one of the favourite movies from my childhood. It's a light romance movie which includes some action scenes. The movie title is called Goregous (very obviously) because Bu, the girl he falls in love with, is gorgeous. The movies suitable for any ages, and will generally just make you laugh. I don't want to give anything away but if you enjoy Jackie Chan, a bit of romance, and laughter then you should buy it.

This is one of my favourite Jackie Chan movies
This is one of my favourite Jackie Chan movies, plus one of my favourite Shu Qi movies, as besides being a sweet love story spiced with non-belligerent action, it's very well composed from every aspect, and the creative dialogue adds a special sparkle. Tony Leung, who's an extremely versatile actor, is wonderfully cast as the gay Albert; and Australian Brad Allen as Alan - 'cryptic' character naming there - the honourable boxing opponent, makes a refreshing change to the shallow and stereotypical bad guy. Skill-wise he puts the 'art' in to martial art. Jackie Chan pretty much as usual plays Jackie Chan - always perfect casting for a good for a Jackie Chan movie! - while Shu Qi once again shows that she's far more adaptable as a character actor than many critics give her credit for. I predict that as she gets older she'll shine all the more. 5 Stars awarded as it's joyful and flawlessly constructed easy viewing. It achieves the end it was designed to.

Like it or not?
I love Jackie Chan and Shu Qi and to bring them together on one film was a must for me to buy. The story line was "cute" and amusing. Shu Qi played her chameleon role very well as the little village girl and then suddenly transformed into the most beautiful woman anyone would be proud to take to dinner!! I was not impressed with the fight scenes but enjoyed the wit Jackie always puts into these. In general, the film was funny, and well put together. Typical man meets girl and ends happy ever after. Some may find the story line a little "tame" but if you understand Asian culture then you can accept the simplicity of the story. If you liked Pretty Woman, there seems to be a similar trait here but in a very nice way. If you love Jackie and Shu Qi then it is a must to buy.

2 copies, not the same condition
I bought two DVDs of this fantastic film. Both 2nd hand. One DVD was perfect, the other was scratched to hell, but still played fine! Very cheap DVDs. Make of that what you will.

The blu ray disc arrived early than expected. It was still in the plastic wrap. Upon opening it, I can see the insert was photocopied and there was a blank white disc inside. No movie in the disc whatsoever. Please avoid buying this blu ray movie at all cost

I was expecting to get the standard edition (just a disc in a box), but I received a disc, a box in a slipcover, a poster, and the booklet. If only it were always like this — a proper set for 20 euros. Honestly, even if it cost 40 euros, it would still be worth it, as long as it’s accessible. Although Amazon’s product descriptions are usually messy and unclear(especially photo parts), this time I was pleasantly surprised.
