This bag is made of high quality material and will survive in bad weather. But it is too small for adult. I think that it will be good as kids' book bag. If you are an adult, you need much bigger backpack(45-50 litre).

Big fan of Deuter packs, I have 3 and this was to be used for summer hikes as I have a Future 32 & 37, I wanted something a bit smaller. This has the usual selection of pockets, zips and packing option. The 28l seemed to carry more than my 32l. A solid day pack and can't find any fault in it .

Bought this in December 2015 for short trips and day use. It's been in constant use since and travelled the equivalent of 8 times around the world, always fully packed, and still good for another 8. I can't fault this bag. The internal pocket is ideal for a 15.6" laptop. Exceptional quality and value for money.

Very good quality backpack. This is extremely well made and should last a long time. Definitely worth spending extra for high quality. I bought this specifically because it has a mesh back support to ensure good airflow and no sweaty back! Ideal for day trips or holidays.

Bought this on the Amazon daily deals so it was cheap. Initially I was thinking it was too big at 28 litre, but it hides the space well. Seems well made, with multiple compartments and a working back air vent. Very comfortable and I don't really know I'm wearing it when riding my bike.

cute, nice design, good fit and well made. The only thing I would suggest is if they could have had one 'small stuff' pocket nearer the top for keys, etc that you would want on short order.

Scrivo questa recensione a quasi un anno di distanza dall'acquisto, dopo aver testato lo zaino in numerose escursioni in montagna. Il "litraggio" è l'ideale per escursioni di 1-2 giorni. Comodo il fatto che sia suddiviso in due vani: uno superiore ed uno inferiore accessibili separatamente (permette di accedere a quello che vi serve rapidamente, senza "pescare alla cieca" e rivoltare tutto lo zaino). La qualità costruttiva è eccellente, ho altri due zaini, uno della Ferrino ed uno della Wolfskin ma non ci sono paragoni: questo è costruito e rifinito meglio ed anche più robusto. Comodissima la tasca inferiore con integrata la copertura impermeabile. Cinghie facili da regolare, cerniere robuste. Unico "difetto" rispetto ad altri zaini di pari volume è un po' più pesante. Comunque lo ricomprerei subito.

Auf der Suche nach einen guten Wanderrucksack bin ich auf diesen Deuter Futura gestoßen. Der Rucksack wurde zuletzt auf einer mehrwöchigen USA Reise zum Wandern oder als Daypack genutzt. Zur Zeit wird er in der Hauptsache als bequemer Rucksack für den Weg zur Arbeit mit dem Fahrrad genutzt. Die Aufteilung ist zweckmäßig und bietet schnellen Zugriff in die Verschiedenen Bereiche des Rucksack. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig. Durch das Netz auf der Rückseite wird der Rücken gut belüftet. Bei heißen Temperaturen verhindert dies aber nicht das man nicht trotzdem am Rücken ins schwitzen kommt.

I have quite a few Deuter bags now in different sizes. I bought the Futura 28 to supplement an existing Trans Alpine 30 for a long backpacking/hiking trip. The Trans Alpine is a great bag, but for loads over 7Kg - its suspension is lacking. I have another 20L bag with Deuter Aircomfort system so I knew that it is a much better suspension for carrying heavy loads. Enter the Futura 28. It's 2L smaller than the Trans Alpine 30, but with the super comfortable Aircomfort system, I can easily carry more load, upto 9Kg, and it feels relatively lighter on the back. The frame is setup in a cross style which disperses the weight better and the anchor points on the mesh + the hip belt pads take the weight away from the shoulder blades. Everything else is typical Deuter - solid fabric and joints. The front pocket is extra deep and the side pockets are much more spacious and sturdy than the mesh ones on Trans Alpine. I wish it had a couple of smaller pockets on the hip belt like the Futura Pro series for storing mobile etc, but its a trade-off well worth the extra comfort. I use it mainly as a carry-on for extended travel and I just go back to using it for hikes after storing the heavier things at a locker.

Dieser Rucksack eignet sich nicht nur zum Wandern sondern für jede Alltagssituation und bietet jede Menge Platz, was man auf den ersten Blick vielleicht nicht erwartet. Er lässt sich auch sehr angenehm tragen und drückt nicht so in den Rücken wie manch andere.
