Actually found this to be quite accurate the first time I had to use this with a fever. It initializes very quickly, you can take multiple readings a few times in a row and get consistent results. The color coding of the screen and different beeps depending on normal, elevated, and high fever are helpful. Overall, very happy with this - it shouldn't be so hard to find a reliable thermometer - the old mercury ones were the best.

I really like how easy this thermometer is to use. It has different modes, so I can check body temperature on the forehead or even measure the temperature of a room or other surfaces. One feature I really appreciate is that you can turn the sound on or off, which is perfect for checking my kids’ temperature while they’re sleeping. The readings are quick, the screen is easy to read, and it’s been a great thermometer to have at home.

Doesn't always read correctly

I purchased this for my daughter when our granddaughter was born. If you have infants or toddlers, this is a very useful tool. The accuracy is “acceptable”, this is a screening tool. It takes surface temperature and not core temperatures, which are much more accurate on infants and toddlers. But It will give you enough information to make an informed decision about your child’s medical status. I did compare it to a rectal temp. The recta temp was slightly higher than the surface temperature this thermometer found, but only by .2°F. So it is accurate and reliable enough for its intended use.Is this as good as the ones we used in the hospital, well yes and no. The hospital thermometers cost significantly more, but they are also used in some cases hundreds of times per day. They were also dropped frequently. These thermometers needed to be built to a different standard than one that will sit in a medicine cabinet for months or years without being used.

it works very well

It works pretty good actually I wish that it was smaller it’s size is kind of prohibitive for tucking in a backpack, a pocket or a purse. I found that this read more accurately on the temporal artery which is the space right above where most people wear their eyeglasses at your temple you can actually feel the pulse there and then you know you are exactly in the right place. However the forehead read just fine about 1/10 of a degree lower. As a wound care nurse of almost 30 years experience We used to check the bottoms of diabetics feet with laser thermometers that were actually designed for industrial use they were quite expensive and none of us could afford to carry them around but they were quite effective at finding hot spots & potential problems. Remember that a forehead temperature is going to read 1/2 to 1° lower than an oral temperature reading. The instructions were quite clear and easy to read and understand with very large pictures. I highly recommend that you read them entirely before trying do you use the thermometer and that you follow the directions exactly as written.

Was looking for a reliable, accurate thermometer that had good reviews and made by a reputable company that stands by their product.I found it.First, the price was decent and quite comparable to many others. But the big difference was that the others came with a lot less people reviewing the product, and purchasing at a lower price as well. Plus the others had a higher negative rating/reviews.The product arrived quickly. Was very simple to use. You put the batteries in, I waited 30 mins. as it came from being outside from the delivery so the thermometer could adjust to room temp. and you hold it to your forehead and push the button and Boom! Done.It seems durable and constructed well and was most importantly accurate with the temps based on my use of other digital mouth thermometers in the house as well as compared to the thermostat for room temperature. Has a decent warranty as well. Now I’ve only had it a week so we shall see if anything I mentioned should change over time.

The thermometer looks well made and is easy to hold, but performance was inconsistent. The device frequently switched between modes and temperature units, which made it confusing to use.Readings varied noticeably within seconds under the same conditions, so I could not fully rely on the results. For a medical device, stability and accuracy are very important.It may work for quick general checks, but I would not use it as my primary thermometer.

I have ordered this product in June 2025 but the manufacturing batch goes back to 08 2022. Had to return as I was concerned with product viability.
