great replacement battery for compatible alienware laptop
hard to install on my laptop but this is not the batteries fault. Battery works perfectly as a replacement for the one that has gone bad. not too expensive.

Expect a chore to disassemble/reassemble
Original battery in our Alienware 17r4 from 2017 swelled up like a tick and was pushing the inner plastic liner out of position. The battery was disposed of and this replacement came a week later. Battery works well so far. This model of laptop wasn’t fun to swap the battery on.

Replaced battery in my Aleinware r14
My old battery in my AlienWare 14 had swollen so much it swelled the case to the point of scary. Was reluctant to DIY this but set up a nice workspace with lots of light and had trays for all the case screws . Watched about 10 YouTube videos on how to do it. Went real good, with the help of a magnifying glass light, also replaced my bad modem chip at the same time. Screwed it all back together and everything worked perfectly without having to do anything more. As you might guess I'm really proud of myself for saving about $300 bucks. If you go this route take you time, organize everything, have plenty of light and take pictures to help you remember where stuff goes.

Now-a-day it takes a real pro to install
It arrived within 2 days of the of ordering, well packaged. I used to do the work on my stuff until I retired years ago. It seriously took a pro that worked for a major network's pc's hours to install the battery. I never saw so many tiny screws of different sizes. It's not the battery's fault, it's what your computer requires. It works fine.

Painful installation
The battery itself is great - perfect replacement. The actual process of replacing the battery is fairly high difficulty. Search YouTube for video that matches model, and probably view a couple different videos to see if they align or where there might be options. Don't be surprised if after reassembling, something doesn't work and you have to disassemble, review/correct connections, and reassemble.
