Lighter, stronger and adjustable!
I've only used this once but for a low priced paddles i think it is worth it. Added better drip rings. Nice leash too! Tried it adjusted a little larger and was perfect. That to me is the icing on the cake, use it in your fishing kayak and then a simple adjustment and use for your rec kayak. Would i stress it out by bridging on every and exit? Probably hard on it but it's built sturdy for the weight and price.

Awesome paddle
I didn’t need a paddle when I bought this, but I was kayaking and tried my friend’s for a few minutes after she raved about it. Loved it so much I didn’t want to give it back. Lightweight and super comfortable…way better than the one I paid twice as much for. Now I use this one and my other one sits in the garage gathering dust.

Carbon fiber but very thin.
I used this one day and like it well enough. I can really move the water, the paddle end is sturdy and well designed for moving water. Very light weight and thick enough poke for a 5’10 225# guy to grip all day with no issues. I think a lady would do very well also. I have used it as a lever to get off rocks with no issues, rather surprised at the strength. Mine is a full carbon tube and I worked with carbon fiber as a carbon fiber technician so yes I know a carbon tube. The thin tube is prone to bulging around the push button holes. Can’t be helped with a light weight tube like this. Wish the carbon was a 1/16 thicker. Changed length easily and can be shifted 45 degrees for off set paddles CW or CCW or even. The tube is perfectly round and not oval so I had to look to see how to set the paddle if I lost the grip. A oval rods enable the rower to know by feel how to hold the paddle. Oval is better but not at this price point and it loses the ability to cant the paddles 45 degrees CW or CCW by simply twisting the the center to the next notch. I think this is great for light to medium use, definitely not for the company or business with hard daily use. The tube is too delicate for rentals. For personal use with a person who is not a gorilla I think it will work great.

Durable, easy to assemble and disassemble, and moves water very smoothly.
Great paddle for kayaking on flat fresh water and coastal waters. The paddle is durable, easy to assemble and disassemble, and moves water very smoothly. The variety of blade colors was a plus, as we have differing color kayaks. I would buy again, so I also recommend the paddle to others.

Excellent customer service
I just received my new paddle and I'm impressed with quality already. The tolerances are very good and it feels solid in the hands, much like a solid shaft paddle.I had a slight ordering mishap and when I emailed the company I received a prompt response. They went above and beyond to remedy the problem. In this day and age that means a lot to me. I will buy from them again.

2 piece paddle that has various lengths. I use it in my entry level fishing kayak.

Not much bite
If you just want to say you have a paddle with some carbon fiber in it, then buy this. I trust them that it's there. It is also not a bad value. However, I would recommend other options for a similar price if you just want the best paddle for your money. I have a Bending Branches Whisper that I used before this. It is only slightly more expensive. It's aluminum, but only weighs about 3 ounces more. And it gets a lot more bite on each stroke. I felt like I was paddling with a broom stick when I first switched to this Oceanbroad paddle. It seemed like i wasn't getting anywhere. I got much more power and traveled farther with each stroke with my other paddle.I also don't like that I have to hold part of the shaft that has holes in it when I use this at its longest setting. It is not comfortable to hold it in that area.Personally, if I wanted a cheap paddle, I would go with the basic paddle from a big sporting goods store. If I want light, I would go with a more expensive carbon fiber paddle - lighter than this and more efficient paddling. If I want value and balance, I would go with the Whisper, especially when it's on sale. There is nothing wrong with this paddle - it works, and seems strong enough. I don't think it will break easily and strand you anywhere. But any benefit you think you are getting from carbon fiber will be lost by all the extra strokes you need to take to move through the water. And it is really not that lightweight.

Nice ,Light weight Paddles
Light compared to our aluminum paddles, but we ordered silicon grips to avoid sharp edges on the adjustable section. Can't wait to try them out
