craft project quality item
This review is for the The Young Scientists Club Lunar Rover. Fun item for kids involving several different STEAM skills to experience and grow. From a quality perspective don’t view this as a toy for extended play. It is more of a craft project quality item. Still fun to complete and play with afterwards, but is not durable like a typical toy.

Good project for young kids
Similar to Home Depot kids workshop but with a higher level of difficulty since there are more pieces and parts. Will recommend for kids 8-10year old. But for all the space-nerds, this is the perfect weekend project, build the Land Rover, paint it and play with it.

Just ok
My 10-year-old was not really a fan of this kit. The pieces felt kind of cheap and flimsy, so he didn't really like holding them in his hand. It also involves a lot of steps to build the Rover and he got confused halfway through which made him feel frustrated. I would say that a parent would need to help any kid with his kid if they're under 12 years of age. Overall because of his experience I probably would not buy this again.

Great kit to put together!
My daughter and I are science nerds, so this was a fun project to do together. I will say that parents NEED to be involved in this one as the pieces can frustrate the kiddos a bit and potentially break from being forced into position. The paints also need to be thinned down with a little water, but that's pretty standard stuff.Great buy for the price!

Great project for the kiddo
My kid loves painting, cars and building things which this puzzle all has and it was a good project for him to do. The kit comes with wooden pieces for the rover, stickers, wheels, instructions, multiple paint and a paint brush which was nice as it includes everything to complete the kit. It was great that he could design it the way he likes and didn't have to copy the image from the box as there are 5 paint colors and multiple surfaces that needed to be painted that the stickers did not cover. Surprisingly it was pretty sturdy once it was all put together and he really enjoys hauling around his Legos in it.

I love that it teaches with fun!
This is a wooden Lunar Model, The laser cut pieces are easily identified for the build, and the kit is complete with all a young scientist/explorer needs to get his /her Moon rover set up and ready for service. It includes detailed instructions. I do warn parents however, "know your child" because this can be "a bit frustrating for some!" This cool kit will help feed the integral part of your NASA bound child's critical thinking and problem solving skills, and reward the youngsters who build this replica. I appreciate that it comes with so many detailing and personalization components, such as paint and stickers. It allows for some great individuality. This model kit makes a great summer or bad weather project. I got this for my Nephew who is a whiz at all things Science.I love that it teaches with fun!5 Smart stars

A little tricky to put together but great item overall.
This is a challenge for sure and the instructions (images) are sooooo small that we needed a magnifying glass to try to work out where the pieces went. It comes very well-packed with supposedly all you need... but there is no way you can paint all of those large surfaces with the teeny paintbrush supplied in the kit. Make sure you have a larger flat one for all the painting. The finished size is large, around 11 x 9.5 inches. Make sure it is glued as you go (if you mess up you are in trouble...lol) and the finished Luna Rover is pretty heavy-duty and rolls well. Recommended for those with patience.
