Jirisan Serum (Day Serum)

The texture is not too sticky nor watery. Easily mixes with other lotion or cream. Applying itself only on skin is fine. Absorbed on my skin well. Makes my skin very moist and smooth. Feels great.

This has such a unique texture. It has an oil layer that sits on top of a water based layer that makes for an eye catching formula. You do have to shake it before each use to make sure you're benefiting from both layers. I found that it separates easily and needs to be shaken frequently. I shake it up for about 20-30 seconds, dispense two pumps in my palm and quickly rub my palms together to mix the formula and then press it onto my skin. I suggest putting it in your palm as it will drip down your fingers otherwise making for a messy experience. It has a very soft citrus scent that I found to be pleasant and not bothersome. It doesn't feel oily at all and since it's so light and watery, I use it as a toner instead of a serum. It does say you can use this either toner and/or serum but to me this is a toner lol. I kinda wish they would turn this formula into a mist, as I could see it being more beneficial that way—as a hydration booster during the day, and was planning on transferring this into a spare spray bottle I have.Unfortunately, not long after having this it looked like either the formula clumped or there was mold forming inside and because of that, I stopped using it. I don't feel comfortable continuing to use it, I did try to shake it to see if it would blend back into itself but it didn't. My bottle as also close to expiry and maybe I got a bad batch so that's why I give it a 4.

This is a very interesting formula that is kind of watery like a toner. I didn't use it more than once because it smelled too much like essential oils, which irritate my skin. The bottle looks cool with the oils floating on top but beyond that I think there are better options out there.

This is a good night (no pun intended) serum. The serum is less viscous, lightweight, and can be layered easily with a moisturizer.The serum is non-irritating, easily absorbable, and very hydrating. It kept my facial skin supple and radiant overnight. I have been using this just after winter when it is still cold and this serum really made my skin hydrated but without making it greasy. Good stuff!

Goes on clean, moisturizes however, does not leave my skin oily.

I've changed my mind a few times about this product while using it but have ended up with a positive opinion of it.I did not realize that you should shake the bottle before using. I was applying it without shaking and kept thinking it is very watery and not very moisturizing. I cannot read what is on the bottle because it is in Korean. I had already thrown away the box it came in, so maybe there were directions there in English. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that., It was through reading another review that I found out you were supposed to shake it first. I then went to their Amazon product page and found that was mentioned on the fifth photo down on the left hand side of the page after you click on it. It was my fault for not reading all that first I guess, but I think the directions for using it should be more readily available.Now for the good part, after I started using it after shaking, I found it more moisturizing as it integrates athin layer of oil throughout the contents. It is still a very light weight watery serum but that also makes itperfect for using under makeup. I also apply some at the end of the day when I take off my makeup and before I apply other nighttime products.I decided this is a decent lightweight moisturizer but then noticed that my fine lines and imperfections were less noticeable even before putting on makeup. That is what made my final opinion of this day serum five stars because it's all about how it makes your skin look.

This is a very light serum that I would almost classify more as a toner or even a very light oil. It definitely reduces tightness after washing my face and adds a little hydration, but I find myself treating it more like a toner or essence than a serum just because it is so light. Not a bad thing! Just don't purchase it expecting a more intense serum.

I have a lot of nighttime serums and facial creams but I wanted something to use during the day that was not super greasy. This day spa serum fits the bill completely. Since I wear glasses, I don't want to use regular face creams that end up causing my glasses to slip every few seconds. This serum is only 5% oil and is entirely plant based so your skin won't be feeling irritated after application. When I go to use it, I flip it upside first and shake or swirl to mix the components together since they separate over time. Then, I put about 2-3 pumps into the palm of my hand and simply rub over clean skin. I sometimes add other serums or products into this day spa serum and mix, but it works just fine on its own. It honestly seems super watery but when you put it on you'll definitely feel some of the oil. After a while it absorbs into the skin almost completely so your face feels super smooth. I can feel the tiniest trace of oil but not enough to feel super oily all day. This stuff is so amazing that I look forward to it after every shower!
