These work really well. They are sturdy and were easy to install. I used a 2 X 4 foot piece of 3/4 inch plywood and i am very happy.

I needed a garage worktop that could get out of the way easily because we've moved from a triple garage to a "developer special" garage in our retirement condo. After considering several fold up tables, I decided to give these wall brackets a try. I mounted them to studs through drywall, and put a 2 foot by 4 foot worktop on the brackets. I added pegboard and a small light above, and a shallow rack holding shop towels and sprays beside the worktop. The brackets are heavier and sturdier than I was expecting. The supplied hardware was also very good quality. The screws are not the cheap pop metal ones that are easily stripped, but are quite robust. I wish the wall mounting screws were three inches long rather than just two inches. But with 1/2 inch drywall, I still have about 1 1/2 inches into the wall studs and it feels very secure. The brackets have held the worktop very steady, and I suspect that the weight limits in the description will be accurate. Still, its probably not wise to treat this like a fully supported workbench made from lumber and just pound away at something heavy. But it's very easy to lift the worktop up into position, and also easy to drop it back down when I'm done with a project. It's much more stable and strong than some of the (mostly) plastic fold up worktables that I tried out. I noticed that some other reviewers had brackets that did not hold their worktops straight out at 90 degrees. Mine do hold the worktop at 90 degrees straight from the wall. Perhaps the manufacturer just had a bad batch?

Very heavy duty. Will be ising for folding table for my small laundry. It is overkill for what I need but did not want something wimpy. Well made and sturdy.

These brackets are very heavy duty, and arrived quickly & undamaged. Sadly, these were too bulky & thick for our needs BUT, I would say if you need a large/heavier table top, I would highly recommend these. I did end up returning & swapping for sligtly smaller brackets.....

The bracket is thick and heavy it says it will hold over 500lbs. I believe it after installing the brackets and putting a butcher block counter top on it. It was installed in the garage as a temporary workbench but after using it for several months, I am keeping it there as a space saving workbench. It is a beast, I needed to reach something high that caught fire and didn't have time to grab the ladder so I climbed up on the shelf to knock down the flame. The shelf brackets held my weight and didn't even flinch with my 225 lbs standing on it. No problems after that either as they closed right up and opened up smoothly. Would definitely buy again and probably will be soon, as I am expanding the reloading room and will need some heavier duty shelves for the ammo components.

Strong and easy to install. They come with fasteners. There is just enough slop in the mechanism that they won't bind if they're not perfectly parallel. Nor will they scar themselves. Practice with them a few times, though, to make sure you know what it feels like when they lock and unlock. For me, anyway, it wasn't 100% intuitive.

I purchased these hinges because I wanted to build an extension onto an existing workbench that was based along a wall. The workbench was a pre-built 6 foot unit purchased at Home Depot but once I installed cabinets above the bench, it gave me little workspace. I framed up a 6‘ x 31‘“ extension and used these hinges to mount it to the existing workbench. The capacity of these hinges are 550 pounds, which is far more than what I would use or need, but I didn’t want something I had to worry about after careful planning everything worked out as hope for and the bench is completed. It’s easy enough to lift the extension and lock it into place and again lower it when the floor space is needed, I highly recommend these hinges to anybody. I only use two of the four purchased, but have plans for the other two to make an out feed table for my table saw. My shop is in a 1 1/2 car garage so space saving was a big part of my design. As well as being able to store, my 12 inch compound miter saw underneath the extension to get it out from the middle of the floor. I believe the cost of the hinges where about $108 but by using those hinges, I was able to eliminate the cost of the additional lumber which would’ve eliminated my opportunity to be able to make a drop-down workbench extension because there was no free wall space.

works great and super sturdy, things to watch out for is if you're planning to install this for a foldable kitchen table as i did, be careful not to press the release trigger with your knees by accident, a disaster is gonna happen!, other thing is that folding up and closing is so noisy like you almost blink you eyes from its loud noise, little expensive imo, other than that its super sturdy.
