Set screw size is 1/8 make sure you have this
Not happy trying to find out the size of the set screw that retains the fan to the motor. Apparently a number four or this equivalent a 18 as opposed to the majority that use a different size With that said based on vibration, I've already broken two of the bolts that retain it. In less than three days. So I bought a ring style mount for a 5 inch fan, which is what this is. It's also relatively noisy and yes, I made sure that the fan blade is on in the appropriate direction with the set screw facing up so that the blades are spinning in their clockwise direction as you face the unit from the hub end, not the motor end Longevity I'm not expecting much based on what I see already

Installation is key
The one thing I didn't mention in the video review is that the tightening not is a Allen. Key, that is fairly unique. So I had a hard time finding the right key to tighten the fan to the motor which is important that you're able to do. So that tool was not included in the purchase of the motor so keep that in mind. However, beyond that, the fan works with a thermostat is fairly quiet and seems to be Heavy dutyI'd expect this to last a fairly long time. The clearance was tight and required. A almost perfect balancing between the 3 Connecting points.

Not Thermally Protected
Motor ran fine upon initial install but the nut on the fan blade wasn't as tight as I thought and it moved into a motor brace, preventing the fan from turning for nearly a minute before I could run to turn off the power. When I fixed the fan and restored power several days later, the motor was dead (even though I checked that the line voltage was good). I assume it must have burned up, rather than having a thermal protective breaker.

Better than expected!
The perfect fan for the job! I replaced a similar one that failed after over 10 years of service but, this one is so much better and not to mention, the price is much lower. Highly recommend this and would definitely buy it again.

Unbalanced fan blade.
Fan fit my frame and is working fine first day on a thermostat. Three stars because the fan blade was unbalanced, blades were twisted. It took a lot of fiddling, measuring , bending to get where, I hope, it won't vibrate the frame apart or damage the motor. Time will only tell if fan is good as it will have to survive Texas summers running almost continually for months, last new fan lasted three months.
